what a great photo!
looking at the cars and what I an read of the comments it looks as this (bottom photo) was the press launch for the 1970 Monte rallye team. Interestingly, going by the registration numbers (and i dont think that they have been switched) the 911 is the 1968 Marathon car #30 119300003 which looks like it had been taken over by the Press department by this time and the 914/6 is the press demonstrator #11 which is now in the USA

...and here is even an earlier period photo of the same 914-6 (S-M 2383), just prior to changes to the front bumper, ugraded bumper fog lamps, hood lights, rubber strap-downs and of couse different pilot and co-pilot... LOLQuote:

What race are these pictures from?
I suppose this was somewhere in the south of France, right?
Is the first car pictured a RS 2.7?
The registration was issued around december 1973.
