Brake Killer, I like that work space clean and dedicated!!
Hi Guys,
thanks for the compliments about the car/pic. The car is black. Yes, it has 7Rs on the back, well spotted.
The Solitude races have been staged in various forms since 1903, all in and around the Schloss Solitude from which the races derive their name. They have always been run on public roads culminating in 1964 with an auto GP and in 1965 with a Motorbike race meeting. It had become too dangerous.
Since then, in recent years, a couple of organisations have sporadically run "Revival" meetings which, naturally, run into the same problems as the original races, i.e. safety and where to put the spectators.
The original track is still to 95% recognisable and runs on public roads surrounded by trees with really low speed restrictions. In the summer it is a favorite for bikers and classic cars, especially Sunday mornings. Strangely the Europeans don't do early Saturday morning "Cars and Coffee" things, it's definitely Sundays.

Got my Gemini back from the paint shop.
It's a long way from the swamps of GAD.
Lovely Gemini, its such an elegant colour. I just sold one, and it sits in the same stage, will start work on it next week.
Does your have Konis ? it seems that most 72,73 came with Konis, or at least thats what i have seing on them.
Yes, Konis in the rear, as you can see. I haven't spent a lot of time with the car yet. Bought from the infamous GAD in '06, didn't like the amount of work it needed and sold it. 6 years later, I bought it back (attitudes change). It's a rolling shell, but it now has chassis work by Esposito and wears pretty new Glasurit Gemini... because it's a roller, I'm building a hot rod out of it, but a 'sleeper.'
Nice.
My exhaustive research shows that the Gemini cars were always the faster cars. I moved mine from one storage location to another one a week ago. :D
