I have the dark grey Ulmer Keramik cigarette box & ash tray, but the lighter seldom comes up for sale. of the red ones I have the tapered one in a box, but the other one I've not seen before.
I think this black one is from the 80s (?) it is a gas ( here called "butane") type.

Don't know much about why the Porsche name is own these binoculars, maybe others know more?

No idea Haul, perhaps these jackets were still available to purchase later than 1973?
I didn't buy it new -- I was a kid throughout 70s so not buying Porsche cars or their branded clothing when new.
I can say the crest is sewn on professionally using same thread and with exactly the same type of stitching that as was used to construct the rest of jacket, so was evidently applied new by the manufacturer.
Jacket has that very distinctive orange zippered closure and slim fit at waist /multi pocket style and stretch fabric as shown in that 73 catalogue.
Here's a letter that I found in the my car's documentation. I thought it was pretty cool. It's about the latest safety and emission requirements for MY 74. It's signed by Dr. Porsche but I think it's an autopen, but really looks like it could be an original signature (see close-up). It's on onion skin letterhead (what appears to be his personal letterhead) and envelope with awesome stamps and Stuttgart postal office cancellation stamp. Has anyone ever seen/received a letter like this before?

I have either an example of this very letter or something similar of the era. the signature is an imprint but it's still pretty cool :D I have several authentic examples of Ferry's signature. he was more than accommodating if you met him in person. I've heard stories about the San Diego PCA Parade (1977 ?) where he patiently signed autographs for over 2 hours. supposedly guys were standing in line holding parts they had taken off their car in the packing lot !
