Sorry Mike - I think you're wrong - I dug out an old book published by Brooklands Books entitled "Porsche Cars 1964 to 1968" - it's a compilation of road tests and features from Car, Motor, Autocar etc in that period. In there are pictures of '66 MY cars with the wipers..... parked to the left :)

I'll show you next time you're down here. My guess is this was something unique for the '67 MY, '66 manufactured 'S's - pictures of RHD and a LHD car (wearing US plates) - with wipers parked to the left..... curious :confused:

In the Brian Long book "Porsche 911 The Definitive History 1963 to 1971" on page 85 there appears a publicity shot in color of a 1967 RHD Targa with the wipers parked left. The only other RHD shown in the book is found on page 52an early 1965 clearly showing the wipers parked to the left. On page 51 a paragraph discusses the RHD cars and it states "the eagle-eyed would also notice that the silver windscreen wipers parked opposite side to continental machines" or to the left instead of to the right.

The Houndstooth is new. The 2.4 MFI has been COMPLETELY rebuilt, I used 2.2 S Mahle pistons instead of the 2.4. Higher compression 214 hp/ 180 ft.lbs

That olive thang of Ray's is absolutely gorgeous. The houndstooth really sets it off nicely. A real keeper in my books Ray. :D

Olive is one of my top 5 favorite colors. Ray, your targa rocks my world. Oh yeah, Joe's RS is nice, too. :D
