Dennis,
Congratulations, you have a great looking Early S! RHD, 2.2S cars have to be pretty rare. Those houndstooth sport seats look fantastic. Agreed, now is the time to enjoy it and drive the wheels off.:)
Thanks for the compliments chaps !
Chris - the reason for placing the steering wheel on the right was to follow the example of old professor Ferdinand Porsche who built his first cars - the Lohner Porsches - with such an arrangement ! :D :D
Brian - my car was a UK delivery - one of 44 for the '71 MY.
Here in Australia there were only 12 delivered in that time !
Cheers,
Dennis.:)
From the recent Austin Hill Country Early 911S and RGruppe event. Some of the small single lane roads were just like England. Car's looking and running pretty good Eade :D
Hello from France. I'm new on this forum and here's a pic of my ride : a 1971 2.2s.

Roxy, nice shot. I was in your country a couple of weeks ago and saw a real lack of early and impact bumper 911s ('65-'89). I did see a handfull of 996s in Paris and Monaco, but not many. The only early car I saw was a '74 914 in Amboise. Glad to see there are still some classics!
Well, maybe Paris and Monaco are more 997 oriented these days...but in the country you can still spot some older cars. Next month, with our club, we'll be doing a 3 days classic 911 meet, i'll post some other pictures after that.

Roxy,
A nice line up you have there !
I did a tourist delivery of a 911 S in 1974 and was always surprised at the number of French 911s with the Cibie / Marchal lights option, either two or four.
More pics from France,pls !!:D
Cheers,
Dennis.:)
Ok, so here's another one from the same day. You can even see a french flag in the back !;) http://perso.club-internet.fr/froux/...ulcefrance.jpg
Yes those cibié lights are very popular here. The standard light power of the 911s being a little weak. You could find the same cibiés on early citroên DS, and they are are very sought after during swap meets.

Hopefully I uploaded these pictures correctly.:) Steering wheel is a Porsche Design by MOMO. Don't know if it is period correct but I like it.
