I am sure it is the real deal - the Larrousse car from 1972.
I have attached 2 pics - note the oil door and the engine detail.
the pic of Larrousse was in the 1972 Critérium des Cévennes.
I don't know what date that was at this stage but will look for it in the next day or so if no-one finds it sooner.
the other pics of S-AK-1336 that I posted are recent. They are from tour auto a couple of years ago. so that car is alive and well somewhere - probably in Europe. someone on the board must know it.
The pic of Larrousse at the 1972 Critérium des Cévennes was taken aFTER the Tour de Course in late 1972. Apparently the Critérium des Cévennes ends the French rallye season and is in late november. So I dont think there is any chance that the car shown with Larrousse driving for Louis Meznarie would be a factory TDC car

I sent him a letter, will see how or if her responds. I didn't want to call him, but will do so in a couple of weeks if I haven't heard from him.

The factory built two "special" 911S/Ts for 1970, 911 030 0949 and 0950; Within the factory, they were known as "Rallye" cars. They had 2.2 engines. Later, 0949 eceived a 2.4 litre engine, still in 1970 and was known as the "Proto". Their histories are below:

So, I have always thought that it is possible that as there are TWO 0949s, and as one has been in clear sight since 1972, there has been some sort of mix up in the chassis numbering. Just my thoughts, you understand.
On to 911 360 0019. Yes, Hugh it IS strange that this car has "disappeared". I have a note it was damaged in a practice accident in the 1973 Targa Florio with Steckkonig/Pucci but no confirmation.
Incidentally, the factory entered just two RSRs per race in 1973, with the exception of the Targa, where we know they entered three; Quite why this was so, I have no idea excep that, as it was such a long-distance, arduous race, the factory decided to try a "strength in numbers" approach. Certainly, as a works team, they had race numbers 8 and 9 allotted to them, 107 being a number the organizers of the Targa would have kept back for late entries. Also, Claude Haldi and Pucci were not works drivers;neither was Kinnuned by 1973.
As we now know, there were four RSRs at the 1973 Targa: 0588, (the eventual winner), 0974, (the latest built RSR) 0020 (according to the museum...) and....a practice car. Pucci had two crashes in separate cars in practice, one of them being repaired in time for the race, (See Singer's notes). As 0974 does not reappear after the Targa Florio, I ASSUME this was the RSR that Pucci wrote off/severely damaged, hence the "mongrel" being pressed into service on race day...
Also, the World Championship race schedule was such that I believe the cars that raced in the Spa 1000Kms on the 6th May, were NOT the cars that raced in the Targa Florio, held on the very next weekend. The distance was such that the cars could not have been serviced and transported in time. Far more likely is it that the cars that raced in the Monza 1000Kms on the 25th April, were used at the Targa Florio; (Italy down to Sicily). This would hve allowed 0020, 0588, (I think it's Spa result was gained by another car, 0686), and 0974.
