Sorry to hear that Jim. The only thing I can say is don't wait too long of a time like I did before getting another buddy. RIP Bella.

:) Nice dogs!!! The snow pic... Wow!
I've had mine for almost 3mo. since the rescue. Dog Lyme disease cured, neutered, and he has settled in nicely. And his undercoat is crazy!!! I've ran a wide comb and bought a "rake"... I think I have removed at least two dogs worth of hair off of him!!!

Had to put this beautiful, highly spirited, 911R of a dog, Golden down today. Even those of us who have loved and lost know how lucky we are. I'll remember her always and she will make me smile for the rest of my life.
I'm sorry to hear that. Goldens are the best - I'm on my 3rd one. You did the right thing not to let her suffer. They are very stoic dogs (bred to retrieve in water and on land) so they will not tell you how much they hurt.
Our first dog was an Only Dog --- and/so she could be a bit 'crabby' 'round other people for it
We fixed that . . . with our next (five!) dogs
Canines are meant to live in 'packs' --- they're super-social . . . which is prolly why they do so well w/ people
I just happen to think that they do even better . . . . . with dogs AND people . . .

Here's our pack doing a little 'visiting' w/ the neighbors . . .
