A first for me: put the 72 hot rod on a chassis dyno.
what motor set up is that?
Took the 1970 911E racecar out to Willow with the POC for my first Racer's Clinic. During Friday practice the T/O bearing started to sing ... by the end of the day the bearing was howling. I spoke to my crew chief, Dad, and his advice was pretty basic, "Drive it 'til it stops."
So I did.
I gave the car no quarter; four run sessions on Saturday and four run sessions on Sunday with multiple starts each day and a final race on Sunday. The car never missed a beat despite the awful screeching and grinding sounds every time I pressed the clutch. :D
Then, on Sunday night as I was loading the car onto the trailer...
Ouch! Those trailer loadings are hard on a car. You should know better :D
