Delivered new in December 1972 to an official Porsche dealer in Switzerland, chassis number 0164 was amongst the first 500 in the production run. The car was purchased by Jack Logan at two years old. He took the car to 'Lightweight' specification using OEM parts, including seats. It has period correct Repa harnesses with remanufactured orange stripe webbing.
With just three owners from new, and benefitting from a full bare-metal restoration whilst in Switzerland in 2000, this is a well-documented example of the Carrera RS. It was treated to a full engine and gearbox rebuild in 2010 by Porsche Centre Swindon. #0164 is currently presented in M471 'Lightweight' specification but was delivered new in M472 'Touring' specification.
