Dave see para 3 of my previous post .. obviously I've been around these RS cars for quarter of a century and aware of rumours like the one you allude to; maybe spoken direct to the friend with the accountant which shouldn't be a surprise if you recall the old Porsche addict social centre / 'shop where used to spend time hanging and helping my great pal with old 911s ;)
Often interesting hear the presumptions from owners who didn't always appreciate the encyclopedic knowledge my old pal had about these car's real backstory often stretching back to starting a Porsche specialist business in 74! Fascinating to hear the real story later one one as we spannered on stuff. And from the cast of characters passing through some of whom went back to pre 901/911 days.
Sorry Steve that I brought up the Dalmation blue car...I have a kind of OCD with that color he he. BTW, here a picture of it VIN 283 and for sale in 2005 at 85K GBP. License plate then SPD 300L.
Regards,
Cees
Hi Cees
It wouldn't be the first time I've tried to draw a line on what I choose to post or share here in words and pictures. That what I tried to do in para 3; thought that point was very clear.
I regret my initial aside; simply intended to point out the M471 wasn't the only RS I understood JK owned. Since that M471 car is one currently for sale making JK association claim in public domain I'll limit my comments to that Afiak the others are not for sale as I want to respect my friends privacy and be decreet about things they might have shared on the expectation I don't post on www.
I may not always get this line in sand right but I like everyone who posts reserve the right to elaborate or not in an open forum.

Dalmatian or Oxford Blue is a stunning colour in early 911
Cees, your making me cry, bringing back memories.
Only kidding. My neighbour Mark didn't have the script whilst in his ownership, said he didn't like it.
Dave
Sorry Dave (I keep apologizing to the Brits..and I feel even more sorry now with your Brexit disaster). The old picture doesn't do justice screen colour is way of. Somewhere I have a picture of the car without she script, same as I have my car now.
Did you run the ST?
Regards,
Cees
Hi Cees, Interesting you have a picture of the RS without the script. From memory my neighbour owned this for some 20 years or more, so a good history.
Managed to fire up the ST build last Sunday... First time this car has had a running engine in it for 35 years. I shall have a drive out shortly.
Celebrated by booking a house for 8 fellow Porsche owning Brits down to Le Mans classic next July. Hope to meet you there.
Regards
Dave
Good stuff Dave. Classic LeMans is certainly on the to-do list for next year.
I have checked my files for UK Dalmation cars without script and found at least three. So actually your friends car could be any of those. I have my doubts on the car with white script. I have another one sold by DK with the same script although witg a Momo steering wheel. Here a couple..399, 497 and 1021.

I owed one of those RS’s in the 90’s Cees. Does my connection count as much as JK’s ? Lol. I’ll let you guess which one it was.
I love dalmation blue at dusk. It was the most wonderful colour. I have a portfolio of (pre-digital) images of that RS taken one evening in Scotland moving from dusk to sunset. The car And colour is simply stunning.
