Please check the part number posted for the plexiglas door window: 901.542.107.60

That 901 prefix has me thinking that it may well be a hold over from the 911R program.

Thank you for researching the part numbers for the 911R plexiglas windows.

Based on the part numbers listed in your post, it appears that the door windows for the hot rod are 911R bits.

One of the European Porsche specialists bought them from a contact made at the Essen show a couple of years ago.

I will take a closer look at them tomorrow.

The part number on the tags on the plastic bags for RS sport style (Fiat 500) door pulls is:

901.531.067.00
MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY

Not sure why this would have a SWB prefix - any ideas?

I have to admit, that 914-6 GT front mounted oil cooler in your diagram sure doesn't look like a SWB part!

But the part number is shown as 901.107.040.25

Looks more like a 2,8 RSR bit.

Or is it that many 914-6 parts use a 901 prefix? I wondered because the plastic inside door handles were used on the 914-6 GT before they were spec'd for the 911 ST.

The lightweight (Fiat 500) interior door handles were found on the 1968 SWB T/R's so would probably explain why they have the "901" prefix.

My biggest gripe about the reproduction liteweight door panels I've seen is the overpadding. I've always thought by looking at the originals is that there is NO padding or very limited padding behind the vinyl. Can you confirm that on your NOS originals?

You are going to have to hire full time security to watch over that beast when it's done. Your execution on the original parts is outstanding sir! The alum roll bar is over the top for me. Can't wait to see this one finished.:cool::eek:

I took a look at the plexiglas for the doors. I was surprised to find the ST part number scribed in grease pencil on the plastic wrap inside the kraft paper PORSCHE wrapping.

As the part number tag on the outside wrapper carries the 911R part number, it seems that these parts were simply re-numbered for inventory purposes, indicating that the door window plexiglas for 911R and ST are identical.

See the two images below showing the ST part number scribed in grease pencil.
