This wonderfully original and unmolested example has covered a mere 64,000km from new and is described to be in excellent condition throughout. The car also benefitted from a bare metal respray in the original colour scheme by specialists, Dino’s Classics.
It appears to have a tachometer from a 911 Turbo - I wonder why? Very late production date, VIN is 48th from last '73 US Targa. CoA describes the infamous 'rear spoiler'. I assume it should have indicated an optional front 'S' spoiler.

This 1973 Porsche 911T Targa was purchased by the seller three years ago and moved from California to Florida. The 2.4-liter flat-six features K-Jetronic injection and is paired with a 915 5-speed manual transaxle, and a repaint in the original Aubergine was performed two years ago. This 1973.5 example was optioned with forged alloy wheels and front/rear stabilizer bars from the factory, and modifications include a short-shift kit, an aftermarket steering wheel and stereo head unit, and H4 headlights. Servicing performed six months ago included a tune-up, valve adjustment, and oil change. This 911 is now being offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a factory tool kit, and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car received a repaint in the original Aubergine (40) listed on the Certificate of Authenticity, and the finish can be viewed from several angles in the photo gallery below. According to the seller, the exterior was stripped to bare metal before the refinishing, with the glass out and rubber replaced. Factory 15” Fuchs wheels are fitted with Yokohama tires that the seller was told were mounted about four years ago. The car features a factory front spoiler, and H4 headlights have been added by the seller.
The interior is trimmed in beige/tan leatherette as listed on the Certificate of Authenticity, and new door pockets are said to have been installed recently. An aftermarket steering wheel has been added by the seller, though the original steering wheel was retained and is in the front storage area. The horn does not work, and a non-original radio is in place in the dash. The odometer indicates 92k miles, 3,000 of which have been added by the seller. According to the seller, the car has always been garaged during his ownership.
The 2.4-liter flat-six features Bosch K-Jetronic CIS injection, which was introduced for half-year 1973 911T models in the US. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 915 5-speed manual transaxle, and a short-shift kit has been installed by the seller. The most recent service was said to be six months ago, when the car received a tune-up, valve adjustment, and oil change. The seller states he replaced the fuel pump and all filters after acquiring the car three years ago. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists the original Aubergine color as well as the factory options.

Because the interior is a mismatch of three different coloured vinyls and a wrong carpet. Illustrates how impossible it is to get a good complete original brown interior. Unless the buyer is not too worried that whole interior will need redone.

If the body is solid and it doesn't go much higher it might be a decent deal. Presentation wasn't fabulous which also may have hurt it.

This was not a very nice car and the low final bid reflected that. Besids the issues with the interior and tacho (wtf was this guy thinking?), the paint job, overspray, grainy door jambs, underside etc, looked like really low quality work. Hi end restorations are almost always rewarded in this market. This car was penalized for having the opposite.Quote:
