Thanks Richy. I kinda inferred that answer although it was not directly answered. I'm gonna order the Kroon wire pckage. The wires on my Beru resistor are somewhat tired.

I apologize for trying to remember the grounds from memory. You are right, there's a ground cable to the body stud from the relay, located just to the lower left of the pump, that provides full 12 volts to the resistor box and then to the coil only during starter cranking. Then there's braided ground wire to the same stud from the base of the fuel pump. My same failed memory tells me there may be a third ground to that stud from a lighting harness, but I'm not sure.
I just saw that Restoration design is now making the electronic relays for only 85 dollars. It was in a "new products" email from them. seems like a good price
Thanks Ed, glad to know all brain cells are not lost :D
New relays have three options. No cover, cover but not painted and painted. Innards appear to be latest electronics and covers are plastic and not metal. Kroon also doing relays. Don't know if they are the same thing.
This may be considered sacrilegious, but I remove the old relay internals and install a new Bosch relay into the metal container
John That's what I did on my board.

Painted the cover in Rustoleum "Aged Metallic" and added Home Depot yellow tape. Color of paint not totally satisfactory but oh well. Just wondering if Restoration design electronics fit into old metal covers. Is that what you tried?
