Hi all,
here is the latest Monte Carlo seat in the houndetooth application.......
I have a set of Rallye ST seats in my coupe in cord/leatherette. Until now I have been very pleased with them and have not been able to detect any wear. While not quite as comfortable as the sport seats in my Targa they give much more support. I am still looking for a tilting mechanism for these seats that will not heighten the seats to much, as I am nearly bouncing my head on the roof already. At the time I bought the seats in germany (the halda came from Stefan GTS) there was no tilting mechanism available. I am also still looking for a better solution to the mounting of the seatbelts. The original positions on the standard seats were mounted more backward than on the brackets I received with the BF Torino seats. Any advice on mounting them in a more suiteable position is highly appreciated.
I have the exact same driver's seat as Pstey. I have the Nurburgring in the pass side. I permanently tilted them on spacers and longer bolts. They are quite comfortable, but not for racing. I have a 34 waist and slide around in the seat. I will use bolsters when at the track.
The cord is prone to show lint whereas the leather in my Boxster wipes off easily. All in all, I'm very happy with the seats. If I liked the houndstooth better, that would be easier to keep lintless. The cord and houndstooth are not as hot to drive in as leathe and vinyl.
Just some notes, that's all.
Hi All,
we are listening to your threats and it gives us some ideas to come up with better products.I will look into the issue that the Rallye ST are toowide and ned more bolstering.I will also have another seat shortly available which is more narrow and doesn't have the seatbelt holes in the side...more period.
Peter you have a nice car and I am happy for using the Halda and my designed seats.

Hello Peter,
In one of my rallye Porsches I had 2 attachments bolted through the tunnel, you can fasten them through the maintanance cover for the shifter adjustment. Also did I always weld in nuts into the siderockers.
I personaly do not recommend to attach the seatbelts to the brackets as I believe in seperate mountings.

Great seats. I was considering the Nurs, saw some in person and really the construction and finish is great. Unfortunately ;) I found a set of period Scheels that I couldn't pass up. The Cord on mine is showing the typical wear and I agree the houndstooth will probably wear better.
"Henderson,NV but moving soon to TX,Hillcountry"
Stefan, when and where are you moving? We have a small but enthusiastic bunch of early 911 guys here in Austin- let me know when you get here, and I'll get a drive arranged so you can meet everyone.
Thanks,
David
Hi David,

with warm regards to our new friends and neighborhood in Austin
I love the houndstooth--I can't remember who has houndstooth seats with coco mats here, but that is an awesome look IMO. I hate to admit it, but I plan on copying it. :)
Zeke, you only have the Nurburgring as the passenger seat? Anyone try it as a driver's seat? Maybe if you had an instructer driving? I'm about 6'3", 190# with a 34" waist. I need a low seat that's not too wide. The seats will go in a coupe w/o sunroof, so that will give an inch or two more.
Hi SC fanatic,
depending on the modelyear of your car,the Nurburgring is the only seat you can drop nearly to the floor without major alteration.
It,s not too wide and with the side support I have used it as my competition seat in the 65 911 and in the Sunbeam Tiger. And there are a few out which bought the seat as the drivers side choice.
