How to wire a Blaupunkt in a 1969 911S

a 9volt battery should hold the memory on your car stereo for a reasonable amount of time.

I put a becker europa in our '69 911S since it was a factory radio car, and had a gaping hole in the dash, while doing the work, I got the aux in connector from becker and now I plug my ipod in while driving, it helps to give something to hum while at traffic lights or slow moving traffic....but mostly I enjoy the music of the car.

most beckers of the day have an aux in, for adding a cassette, 8 track or even a record player.

I agree! Cindy & I are quite proud to say that we have friends in Istanbul...dear friends. The key fob I now run in my 911 is from the antique Auto Club of Turkey...I use it in honor of those who gave it to me. Now the Germans? Well, never mind...they straightened out back in the 40's...;)

Get an ipod and call it a day!

Easy folks, just the way it is here. If I lived in LA it might have been a reference to an El Camino; in Vancouver to some other group of folks who like to modify their cars. Nobody's racist, nobody hates Turkish people, it's just that in Munich they tend to be the ones who do things to their cars such as the above-mentioned-science-project-cum-radio.

Now please, get down off your high horses and tell this guy not to do whatever it is to his car that he is planning on doing.

Unfortunately my radio project is on hold b/c my car kept stalling; my mechanic tells me the MFI pump is out of adjustment, the cold start thingy is staying on too long, and the micro-switch is not working.
I want to set up an audio system that plays AM radio from 1969. A little Strawberry Alarm clock and 1910 Fruit Gum Co.

On my S the cold start is disconnected for this very reason. The leads come up to a manual switch under the dash that I can click prior to starting to put some gas into the system. It works like a charm and I think it is a widely accepted modification.

Did you ever get your radio installed? I too have a '69S and a "Frankfurt Stereo US" Blaupunkt Model number 7635421 (1975?) I'd like to install. What kind of hardware do I need? I know I'm missing the plate that you glew the vinyl too, that the knobs fit through and that slides into the trim plate on the outside of the dash. But there must be some more hardware for behind/inside the dash, brackets or something?

Any advice would be great.
