Wiring Diagram
Dave Hillman made an incredible "Layered Wiring Diagram" in a PDF file for the early 911/912 cars. You can get it here -

I believe this shows the blue/white as going to the high beam indicator light in the tach. The blue/yellow comes of the #1 fuse for the brake lights, turn signals and back-up light and visits both the tach and combo guages though I cannot guess it's actual function.
You might assume (I know that's very dangerous) that the 69 cars used the same colors for functions and simply added colors for new functions (and re-routed things) and that the blue/whit function remains the same?
Perhaps this will be some help in your quest.

John T,
Thanks for the web site. I have a large wiring diagram on the garage wall plus a laminated version to take with me when I crawl into the car. However, tonight it is down to 5 degrees F here and not going up to 40 until Monday. So for the time being I am staying out of the garage and limiting myself to theoretical cogitation on the problem. Which also gives me time to consume adult beverages while watching Speed vision
Paraphrasing my mentor, Alfred E. Newman,: I am trying to learn from the experiences of others as I will not live long enough to be a virgin on everything.
