Since the original paint of this car is questioned, I wonder if 67 still had the vinyl cowl binding like my 66 has. This car seems to have a rubber cowl binding.

Did your 68 Sandbeige have the T rear lid or the newer T-less lid?

Here is a Bahama Yellow brother:

Even my 67S in 6609 black is satin black under the rear grille.
After seeing the 67S which the Porsche restoration department presented at the Techno Classica this year I doubt they really know or care what is original:

While it is hard to get consensus on some subjects, like this one, I'd trust 20 or 30 guys and pics from this list more than 1 or 2 "experts" from the factory restoration department. I've seen many cars restored at the factory with all sorts of details wrong.

I wonder, there are a few guys left, that still visit and I can be put in touch with, the Museum restoration department is completely different than the classic dept.
I believe pictures as well, and believe it or not the Americans are more
anal when it comes to details, we have taught them things.
my Early production 68 L soft window had no black, my Irish green 67912
did, a silver car that was original paint early 67 normal did not, so its really down to pictures, and examples:
The '67 911 Coupe is still available. Paint is definitely 100% original. If you're looking for a true survivor class SWB 911 Coupe, here it is.
I like this car but I almost like your Nuova 500 better - Really cool with the US lights.
