What's the difference ? 73 TE & 73 T ?

Very interesting information. LV911 says he has the same plate with the E. I also did a search on the forum and found 3 other Vin plates for 1973 showing 911T and the E in the adjoining box, some early Porsche KG and others later like mine showing Porsche AG. Looking through the PET it shows the 73 CIS as K. Others on this forum have told me the production number on the dash is a late 1973 production number, and the compliance sticker is dated 07/73. It has the support beam in the doors and the blacked out grill. I also noticed the front bumper support bracket differs from a 1972 by having an aditional sheet metal brace welded to it. When I replaced the front corner brace it was F chassis style.

For some reason, all 1973 911T had the chassis designator as E, while the E, S, and SC (RS cars) all had the F chassis. I have not been able to find out why this was done this way. Obviously, all the chassis were pulled from the same pool of bodies (coupe or Targa) according to the production numbers so the construction is all the same with the exception of the RS modifications.

On a 1970 T car, what would a C in the box where the E is mean?

This letter refers to the "series" of the chassis.
C = 1970
