I have a ‘72 T with no record of the original engine number. Does anyone know where I can locate the engine number now that Porsche will no longer provide?
Thanks - RE
Ray, a PM has been sent. It is not really a problem at all. Dave
As promised ... it is time for an update: data are now consistent for 796 cars (+56 since 9 Feb 2019), precisely 375 MY 1972 and 421 MY 1973.

All the national data are up (CZE is a new entry), with some notable (negative) exceptions:
1972:
- ITA down to 20 from 24
- MLT down to 0 from 1 = disappears from table
1973:
- GRE down to 0 from 1 = disappears from table
TBD = To Be Determined = I do not know / not sure
For some stats on the colors, see this thread
Do you have 230 0347? I am going to see this car which is currently in Austria next week with a view to purchasing it and importing it into the UK.
The car was supplied to Porsche Salzburg in Tangerine with M409 Recaros in black leatherette with houndstooth inserts in 1972, is in 100% original condition bar the M409 Recaros which are to be put back in (standard seats currently fitted at the request of the first owner), has complete documentation and was always maintained by Porsche Salzburg until 2005.
The original owner had it from new until his death in 2005 and it has had just two owners since then (one being the first owner's son to whom it was bequeathed but he didn't want it!?! and the second being a German collector who had an identical car and decided he didn't need two!).
