Nice John!
John -
Your and your car were one of the big hits, John...wonderful to see you there.
What a great event for the Make-a-Wish kids. This event is NCR's premier event of the year, and it would be great if some of our local Early S'ers could find a way up for next year. We had 127 drivers registered for DE, and 330+ track passes issued...bottom line, over 200 Make-a-wish kids, families and friends. The kids get a chance to ride in the cars, on track, and it is tough to tell whether the kids or the drivers have a better time. Don't know about you John, but more than a few drivers need a minute or two to recover and recompose after letting one of these kids out of their car.
Not shillin' not sellin' just tellin'. An intensely moving experience.
Hank
True Hank - it was overwhelming.
I still haven't recovered, I am still there....
I told Ivy how the last little girl I took around sat there, lap after lap ( I would come in when they told me they had enough and she went to the end ) telling me about her school and the Shakespeare play she was in and anything and everything else in this soft little voice that I could barely hear over the revving engine and the roaring wind, on and on and me with an ear to ear grin thinking how she would have been just as content headed to the grocery store in a Ford Focus....precious, precious, priceless stuff.
All honors to Mrs Cheese and the rest that put it together ( again ).
Very moving. I'm in for next year.
