Show your dog...

My guy Otto. 90 pound rock solid big brick of a Boxer dog. He is the 3rd kid and has been a joy to have for the past 9 years. I brought him home at 8 weeks when he was the size of his adult head. My kids thought I got a "small" dog. I let them know I thought he might grow a bit. (They grew too and are both 5'11" now)
I have grown up with dogs around, have always had one or 2, mostly rescues and enjoyed them all. This guy has something a bit more but it is hard to see or define at a glance. He is simply not "too" anything. Not too energetic not too lazy not too demanding not too shy...Just a good mix of all the things you would want in the family dog and no bad habits at all. He is ready to go when asked and cool with chillin' out. He is getting older and gray like me but nether of us are slowing down. And yes, he has an enormous tongue.

I really cannot put into words how I feel about our 4 legged kids......but I do go a bit nuts for them

Bought this golden doodle at 2 mos old.. Hobbes ..by 6 mos he was 80 lbs....an athletic freak...runner...jumper...and so very sweet. But wife got hit w/ MS and he was just too strong for her....he was re-homed. I was really heartbroken........I was bad. 4 mos later wife brings home this "tea cup" maltese.......he would "max at 4 lbs" the breeder says...ha! by 16 mos he was 7 lbs...he to0 is a runner jumper fetcher....hes an amazing lil guy....wow...neve thought Id love a lil guy.....but hes really amazing..Obi

This is Sissy. Rescued from a kill shelter in Northern California on the last day. She is a Beagle Boarder Collie mix. There is not a day she lets us know how happy she is, and to have been rescued.

When reprimands are needed, only once with a very soft voice. She is very focused on pleasing and basically will do whatever asked of her.

We are over the top with her, and her house mate Tux, also a rescue.

On paper Otto is my wife's dog and her last name is Mattick......

Looks like a cat, but she is minded like a dog.

Doesn't look quite like a (hairless) cat thankfully, and acts every bit like a dog. Our newest family addition is an American Hairless Terrier, which is a rare breed just accepted by AKC. After having to put down our beagle of 17 years a few years back, I finally got my wife to allow another family member earlier this year, albeit one that did not cause my daughter's allergies to erupt. So, did some research and found this little guy. Wife named him Hemingway. Very smart dog with a lot of terrier spirit, so it takes a firm hand to teach him. Loves to chase water from the hose, and loves the family. People will confuse him with a mini pinscher or the Peruvian Inca Orchid dog.
