Just a couple of Porsche drivers...Part II..
I believe the photo of post 263 was taken at the 1968 French Grand Prix at Rouen les Essarts, and by the way not far away from the location where Jo Schlesser crashed and was killed in the magnesium chassis of his Honda that went on fire.

On lap 14, after Graham Hill retired from the race, Hill gave his helmet visor to Jo Siffert on-track due to Siffert's helmet did not have a visor.
You may see Jo Siffert driving his Lotus-Ford at 1mn 40 s or so in this video :

This was on July 7th 1968, almost 50 years ago.....
I saw this same grid lineup, minus Seppi and Rindt, and with Pedro replacing Seppi in the Yardley BRM, at Watkins Glen that year.
^^^ What a pic!
Happy Birthday Mr. Siffert (7 July 1936 – 24 October 1971)...
The man next to him with his back is Heini Mader, his longtime (swiss) mechanic from the very early days on.
Mader later moved on and built Cosworth , BMW F2 as well as Lola engines. His company HMP still exists, Mader is today 80 years old: https://www.hmp-pieces-moteur-gland.ch/en/presentation
