Congrats Arne, the waiting is ‘almost’ over! Great project.
Way-to-go, Arne --- exciting . . . and thanks for sharing those pics
Good-looking car in your pics --- neissenteit . . .
Interesting, too = sugar-scoop/US-market headlights --- w/ silver-rimmed Euro front + rear turn signal lenses?
What's with that? --- 'tourist-delivery' artifact? . . .

No, just a later change. The first pictures I got of the car (and in the Pelican ad) show tired US-spec lenses. I also noted that there were new—presumably repro—front and rear euro-lenses in the boxes of parts included with the car. Looks like the newer lenses got installed during final reassembly for shipping. We'll see what it ended up with once I get the car home.
The sugar scoops, though, will end up boxed and stored. I've got a pair of H4s I kept from the '84 Carrera to go in. Would rather have H1s for a '72, but that's a really low priority since I already have the H4s.
Arne-
Congratulations on landing one! I’m in Eugene also. I’ve got parts sitting around from my dearly missed E that may or may not be of use to you. I’m not looking for money, just a good home for stuff I don’t have the heart to throw away. Please PM if interested. I’m available to help if you have questions - I did a lot of work on my car myself (motor rebuild, gearbox rebuild, interior, suspension, etc.), so learned a thing or two.
Probably the least amount of snow it will see on its’ journey north.
Hopefully most of our snow here (15" fell overnight at my house) will have melted off by the time the transporter gets here. <crossed fingers>
It's on its way for real now.

That'll be such a good feeling when it does arrive. And so the fun begins about learning about them. This site is a great resource with many helpful folks. It's been invaluable to me!
Delivery expected sometime tomorrow, several days earlier than expected. Still digging out from the remains of the 22" of snow that dumped here Monday and Tuesday. But I have contingency plan in motion for this problem.
