Tip #4
Don't overlook the track/race cars. Many are maintained to a very high standard and can be very easily returned to a more road friendly spec.
E.g. Cam's orange ST: peel the stickers off, unbolt the front of the cage and fit some repro sport seats and you have an awesome "sports purpose" type road car. In my opinion, the car is an absolute BARGAIN. You can sell the bits removed or keep them with the car in case you or a subsequent owner decides to race or rally.
There is also the Orange 73E of Jason Carroll's @ Chequered Flag. Good buy also being genuine RHD.
No it is Jason's personal car
Hi Alex, do you happen to know if Jason's car is a matching numbers vehicle? Noticed that when it was up on Carsales it said "correct engine" rather than matching engine.
Thanks!
don't think it is matching, but that does not really matter too much - it is the correct series in that it is a 73E motor.
As Alex said its correct engine but not the one it left the factory with
Has sports seats etc saw it for the first time recently and without looking too hard it looked OK. Its at $79,000 ONO
Love how we're all keen to spend someone else's money ;)
