Rear suspension, under-body + exhaust . . . .
Rear under engine + trans, suspension, exhaust . . .
. . . and my images are always FREE
If you do share them --- all I ask is that you credit your Poster . . .
. . . and that you tell everyone that you found them on The Early 911S Registry
Without this site . . . where else could we post this stuff?
More under-body
Interesting textures to the FG
Production bodies were made by Heinkel and fashioned from chopped FG sprayed into a mold. Quality/finish/consistency were always variable. Not sure who/where this body was fashioned --- but . . . clearly built-to-a-purpose . . . and thoroughly used/repaired/used-again
More rear under-body + wheel house w/ suspension
Bits look weathered --- but in good/solid order
Silencer is vast
More rear under-body
Exhausts are wonderful --- v compact + intricate
More rear under-body . . . exhausts + suspension + wheel-house, again
Bits look very-well-made --- especially all the suspension stuff . . . . all over 60 years-old, now
More rear --- under-body + not-so-much-
Rear frame w/ engine clearances. Note the way the trans is carried in a chassis 'horse-collar'
Also note the 'jacket' on the silencer. Heat-shielding? --- to protect the 'glass?
Despite any appearances, exhaust note was moderate/pleasant --- even mellow . . .
. . . at least at the engine speeds I ran ---- <5k
Whole system looks to be in good order, too . . . even w/ some minor contacts
Thank you very much.
