Damon are you there, anywhere?
SERIES900:Are there any made for the carburetted 2.0 motors in black?....cliff
I'll answer for him. Yes. No black ones in this photo but I have one.

As a reforemed whitewater slalom boat builder, I can attest to the way Damon builds these shrouds. He uses pigmented resin. In fact, we have discussed making the later "S" shrouds a little more orange as that is how Porsches resin has aged.
I have never asked Damon if he uses epoxy or polyester resin. Epoxy resins were not around much back in the day when Porsche (or it's vender) molded the original fan shrouds and if they were, they were extremely expensive, so I am guessing the originals wera all made with Polyester. I think Damon uses epoxy as it is much stronger than polyester and the one I bought from him was not still gassing out the smell of Polyester when I got it which alos leads me to believe he uses epoxy. If Damon is using Epoxy over Polyester, I would aplaud that nod to letting go of the past.....Unless you were to start breaking pieces off the fan shroud, you really could not tell the outward difference between these two resins...Epoxy resins are much stronger than polyester resins
Damon does work for the major engine builders here in the US. This is one of his creations he did for a friend who was having a "special" ;) engine built.

To my surprise my shroud arrived this morning. It is in carby trim though so guess I will have to drill, cut and sand to make it fit.
