Notes: "YOU ARE VIEWING A 1968 PORSCHE 911 COUPE. THIS CAR WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHSED ON 10-26-68 IN CHICAGO, IL. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY FINISHED IN SAND BEIGE (PAINT CODE # 68-6807 G). IT WAS CHANGED TO WHITE MANY YEARS AGO. THE EINGINE # IS, 901/14 15972. IT IS A 2.0 LITER FLAT 6 WITH 130 HP. THE GEARBOX IS THE 901 5 SPEED MANUAL. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL DRIVER'S MANUAL, MAINTENANCE BOOKLET WITH SERVICE STAMPS, ETC. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WELL AND COULD BE USED AS IS, BUT RELLY NEEDS RESTORATION. THE BODY IS NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH GOOD PANEL FIT. IT IS SOLID WITH SLIGHT RUST BEGINNING TO SHOW UNDER THE PAINT IN A FEW AREAS. THE FLOORS AND ROCKERS LOOK GOOD AND UNDERNEATH THE FRONT SUSPENSION PAN LOOKS GOOD AS WELL. THERE IS RUST INSIDE THE TRUNK AREA FORWARD OF THE FUEL TANK, SO I WOULD PUT A FRONT PAN IN IT IF I WERE GOING TO KEEP IT. ALL TRIM IS PRESENT AND IN NICE CONDITION AS IS THE GLASS. EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE LIGHTS, HORN, GAUGES, CLOCK, SIGNALS, WIPERS, ETC. THE TIRES ARE GOOD MICHELINS AND THE BRAKES ARE GOOD AS WELL. AS I SAID, THE CAR IS VERY USEABLE AND PRESENTABLE AS IS. THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR LOOKS GOOD, BUT ALSO NEEDS RESTORATION. IT IS ALL THERE AND MOSTLY USEABLE AS IS. ALL THE ID PLATES ARE STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATIONS AND THERE IS WHAT APPEARS TO BE SOME ORIGINAL PAINT SHOWING IN THE DOOR JAMB AREAS. THE WHEELS, MUFFLER, AND RADIO ARE NOT ORIGINAL. EVERYTHING ELSE APPEARS TO BE."

VIN Number: 11835226
Winning bid: US $9,300.00
Date sold: Oct-29-06
Notes: "The car has just received a major service, starts at the turn of the key, runs well, nice smooth power, the gear box feels great, shifts well, obviously had the syncros done. I don’t have prior service history on this car but I can tell a lot of money has been put into it.
The body has been repainted the original burgundy, within the last several years, there are no rust bubbles, and the paint has a nice shine, but is not show quality. It is very presentable however.
The interior appears to be very original, and in good condition, if this car were converted to a rally car, the interior could very easily be resold. Again it is not show quality, but for a 30-year-old car it is in good condition. I have found some rust on the car, at some point the rear window leaked, and the rear seat bottoms are weak, but the floor pan is fine. The torsion tubes and all the suspension points are solid. I have looked at a lot of early cars, they all have rust, and this one had the least I had seen. I don’t know its history, but it must have spent a lot of time in a dry climate."

Year: 1972
VIN Number: 9112110356
Winning bid: US $8,900.00 (The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price.)
Date sold: Oct-30-06
Notes:
"The Good:
-Vin numbers match in all areas (Front chassis tag, luggage compartment, and windshield post tag)
-Interior is very clean and in what I would consider great condition with only a few small blemishes
-Glass and rubber good throughout the car (targa top needs weather stripping)
-Targa top itself in great shape
-Newer Bridgestone Turanza tires
-Fuchs alloys are clean, including spare
-Pans are all solid with no visible rust including front compartment and battery box
-No major dents or scratches
-Jack spurs are solid
-Bilstein jack included
-Tranny shifts smooth
-Car drives straight and smooth
-Paint is glossy
-Car appears to be mostly original
The Not So Good
-Typical oil leaks for older Porsches
-Fuel pump is a cheap aftermarket pump that seems to render the car less responsive than it should be
-Driver side rear quarter panel from targa bar to engine compartment has bubbling under paint that has caused raised surfaces and hairline cracks that are not visible from afar or in photos. Although visible they have remained unchanged for some time and do not appear to be getting worse. They seem to be a result of poor body prep on some rust spots before repaint.
-Original paint code is 324 metallic blue, not silver
-Mileage is listed at 99573. This may or may not be the original mileage of the car. Actual mileage is unknown, which is very common for cars this old."

Cars like this come along only once every few years. We are CPR, the restorer of this outstanding example of the highly collectable rare 911. CPR, has been Exclusively restoring 1965 to 1973 911s for over 25 years and are factory trained. We are helping sell this for the owner as we know it better than anyone. Six months ago this car was brought to us in the following condition.
The car had never had a single panel, bumper, trim piece removed prior to our restoration. Door panels, interior trim original down to every washer and screw in very good original condition. The only work required was lower drivers seat pad was tired, the the dash had the normal single crack right side of the gage shield and the head liner had minor discoloration around dome lights.
The paint and body were in damage free original condition, paint had only clear cracking on the hood and roof but still very pretty and un-molested. Factory gaps perfect everywhere. There had never been any rust anywhere! Doors shuting with that factory new Ping!
All systems in the car were in very good operating condition other then a valve cover leak, and Issues with the transmission requiring its overhaul or replacement.
Current condition: Test miles only since Ground up Restoration to new factory standards. This car is in Outstanding condition, fully sorted, NO leaks, smells with all systems in correct factory operating condition. See Restoration Invoice attached as photos. This car drives flawlessly, what a star!"

Notes: "This is a 1973 1/2 Porsche 911T Targa that belonged to a friend of mine. He owned it for about 5 years and then sold it to my father last fall when he moved to florida. My father passed away in march and we need to sell it. My father never registered the car so it still has the CT. transferable registration signed by my friend. The car is in very good condition and is a very nice driving car. It accelerated well, tracks straight and stops real well. It is a very nice driver. It was originally a california car so it completely RUST FREE except for some rust on the bottom of the drivers side door. Look at the pics of the underside. At some point there was damage to the front left which dented up the area arount the battery box. You can see it when you open the hood and pull away the carpet. That is the only negative to the car. It looks like they just replaced the fender and didn't spend much time straightening the area arounf the battery box. The car has the original 2.4 CIS injected motor and it runs very well. The trans was replaced about two years ago and it shifts flawlessly. It recently had new rotors, pads, and tires. The paint on the car is decent in my opinion, it details out very well, but has some small flaws here and there. It is a middle of the road job that is probably 10 or so years old. Interior and targa top are in good shape and has a nice newer CD player with 4 speakers. The seats are original leather seats with no tears, but are pretty dried out so that is why there are the custom made neoprene seat covers on the front seats. Although not a perfect original car, it's a nice example of a early 911 and is considered the best year/motor. The CIS motor has great power and is very reliable."
