Notes: "This is my own personal car, and is one of the nicest original cars I have come accross in 35 years of Porsche ownership, only the recent purchase of a 1973 911S Targa would make me sell this exceptional car, my private plate is not included in the sale.
1973 Porsche 911T Targa 3 owners, matching numbers, original paint.
63.116 miles
chassis# 9113110284
engine# 6130622
paint code# 131-9-2
please look closely at the pictures of the underside of this car and other detailed pictures and you will begin to understand the absolute quality that sets this car appart from your average car.
As rare as it is to find cars with original paint in excellent condition, it is even rarer to find an underside that looks the way it did when this car left the factory in September of 1972. These are details that many PCA "show" cars have lost in the restoration.
ie: the yellow smidges of paint on the steering control arms and ball joints, indicating that they have been adjusted and double checked.
Look at the details of the sill and jacking point areas, there you will see that the cars left the factory with a black painted stripe that runs the length of the lower rocker panel, this is how the cars were built. The original undercoating is all in place and perfect.
The body is of course accident and rust free since it is original paint, perfect shut lines, and solid feel throughout of a real low mileage car, the front valance and bottom of the front hood have been professionally blended in. The door shuts, emisssion control sticker, paint code and vin plate are all intact and unmolested.
The original MFI engine had a quality rebuild with receipts, updated Carrrera tensioners, Turbo valve covers and new engine mounts all less than 2.000 miles.
The interior has a perfect dash, door pockets and seats, the Targa top is perfect and all rubber seals were replaced. Original steering wheel available. Comes with books, manual, tool kit and original jack, and period 110 liter tank and space saver.
The car looks, runs and drives like a 3 year old car."

Notes: "You are bidding on a beautiful California rust free survivor. Up for auction is a 1973 ˝ Porsche 911 T CIS. This Porsche 911 has a Light Cream colored exterior with black leather seats and a black interior. This is a very original, low mileage machine that has never been rusted or wrecked. It has no scratches or dents and is Collector Quality. The car came from the factory with many “S” options including S handling, S brakes and S chrome package. It has 109,909 well documented miles on the never apart – matching #’s original engine and transaxle.
This awesome machine makes loads of power from its very dependable 2.4 liter CIS engine, and the 5 speed transmission is smooth and quiet. The engine does give a puff of smoke at first start up of the day, and the heat exchangers are rusty. The car does not leak any oil and has a very efficient leak free sunroof.
A little History of this car:
We picked up the car in L.A California back in March 1993. At the time the car had just over 93,000 original miles and was still wearing its original light cream colored paint that had a few scratches and was quite dull. We drove it back to Winnipeg Canada (where we lived at the time) without any trouble. Immediately we had it painted, all except the door jambs and inside the engine compartment. We then had it appraised by the Porsche club for insurance purposes. It scored very high and I am including a copy of that appraisal in my photos.
Thirteen years and less than 9000 miles later we had it painted again in the factory color #131-9-2 ( Light Cream). This was an everything-off paint job, painting once again everything but the door jambs and the engine compartment.
We have Sunday driven this car only, less than 9000 miles and it has always been garage kept. It has been in North Carolina for the past six years and has been mostly parked during this time due to the fact that I usually choose to drive my 69 GTO Judge when it comes to cruise time. Although I have owned this car for 14 years now, I am not a specialist when it comes to the history of 911’s, and most of my knowledge of the car comes from the second owner of the car and what he has told me. I will do my best to describe the options of this car.
This car has the following options that it came with new from the factory:
· Dealer Installed Air Conditioning – Not working at this time – Its all there except for the controller that was stolen
· Light Cream colored exterior
· Black Leather Seats – black interior
· Tinted Glass
· Pwr. Roof
· Driving Lights – Removed, wiring still working and in place
· CIS Engine
· 5 Spd Trans.
· S Handling Package
· S Breaking Package
· S Chrome Package
· Polished Alloy Wheels
· Dual Mirrors
· Rear Defogger.
I have copies of all previous titles and original warranty papers. The first owner was the owner of Beverly Hills Beneficial car leasing; I purchased the car from the second owner. The car does have a low reserve because I do want to sell it. Vehicle is being sold as-is."

Winning bid: US $5,966.00
Date sold: Apr-21-07
Notes: "Up For Auction is an All ORIGINAL PORSCHE 911T Coupe. This Porsche is the coupe and is a rare and very collectable Porsche.
First off let me start off by saying. This Porsche runs Excellent. Starts right up, doesn’t smoke, No knocks, No pings, Runs beautifully. As far as speaking there car needs nothing. I would personally drive this car home anywhere in the U.S.
DOCUMENTATION
We found receipts in the car totaling over $8,000 in the late 70's and early 80's. You will receive these also. The receipts are for the following. I did not list everything just the majority of them.
They are for new gaskets, head, Studs, Valves, Timing chain, All gaskets, new valve studs, honed cylinders, New rod's and main bearings, New piston rings, Complete tune-up, removed tranny and replaced all seals, new pressure plate and clutch, hoses, new bosche distributor, Ect. This is only a few of the things on the receipts.
Also comes with a 1969 911t drivers manual
Engine:
This Car has the original 2.0 ltr engine in it. It also has the Weber carbs. The engine runs great, idols. Starts up great even in the dead of cold. This motor doesn’t smoke and runs great.
Engine number 6196009
Transmission:
Transmission works great, it shifts great and works very well. It could use a new shifter bushing. To make the shifter it self tighter. Its only the bushing on the shifter, has nothing to do with the transmission.
Body:
As you can see from the photos, this car will need body work and painted. The front pan is rotted and the rocker panels will either need to be repaired or replaced. The gas tank is fine.
Keep in mind that this is an ALL ORIGNIAL 1969 PORSCHE 911t and this car is very valuable fully restored. But will need work to make it perfect. These are rare cars and one that is all original with no major mods and the original drive train is even more rare. This car fully restored will bring in very big dollars. I am selling the car due to the amount of other projects I currently have and the fact that there is only 24 hours in a single day to work on things."

Negatives- see pictues of lower front fenders, passenger side mirror installed by P.O., small dent on engine lid (see picture), P.O. touched up paint on lower portion of rear bumper and license plate panel., radio not working.
In reponse to numerous inquries:
I purchased the car because it was the a clean, umolested "time warp" 911 with all the parts in place without needing restoration. "It's only original once." The body, tub are very solid and the work needed to address the lower panels is relatively minor. Reason for sale? too many other unused cars including a '73 911S.
Additional questions:
YES, the paint is all original except under rear bumper and panel. It is in very good condition. If you asked about repainting this car don't bid. It is for those interested in preservation.
YES, The glass is all original including the Sigla made in West Germany windshield.
The dash, door pockets, seats as well as the rest of the interior are in excellent condition.
Documentation traces ownership from original owner to his son (13,342 miles 1986) to his boss (13,890 in 1992) to his insurance agent (15,112 in 1997) to me (53,327 in 2006). All original paper work, warranty card and dash plate made out to Albert Thornedike, Jr. from Tom Sullivan Porsche Audi.
Maintenence records start with 600 mile service and also include original owner hand written journal.
The buyer can inspect the car after the auction.
There are five steel wheels and four Porsche hub caps."

Notes: "Item for sale is a 1972 Porsche 911 coupe. This is a very original, numbers matching car which is also a rare model due to the external oil filler door on the rear 1/4 panel. It is also the first year for the acclaimed 2.4 liter engine, fuel injection and the bullet proof 915 transaxle. This car is an excellent restoration candidate which has some rust in the suspension pan and the rear pillar, but is otherwise a good, straight body. As seen in photo's it is missing the left fender and associated parts but is otherwise relatively complete. The engine is out and will probably need going through as it has been sitting idle for several years. (indoors) The engine is a 2.4 MFI and is very complete.
I have owned this car for 7 years with the intent of restoring it myself. Business is good and I cannot get an opening to even get started on this car as we just have too much customer work which must take priority over my own projects. Consequently, I am offering this Vintage Porsche for sale to the highest bidder over my modest reserve. If you have questions or concerns, please ask prior to bidding as your bid is a contract to purchase and non-paying or non comitted bidders Will recieive negative feedback.
This is a project car and sold as is with no guarantee's or warranty's. I have a 100% feedback rating and give careful consideration to accuracy, thorough descriptions and photographs, so bid with confidence.
I do recognize that it is definately restorable and much better than most for that purpose. I can help with any or all aspects of the restoration and am willing to take it on completely as a restoration project once purchased."

Notes: "This is one of the last MFI car produced for the US market and was built in December 1972, and sold on the 3/17/1973 for the total invoice sum of $ 9.744.38
This particular car is a one family owned car with original handwritten letter ordering the car, Bill of Sale, original order form from German Auto Inc., Window sticker, and cash receipt slip.
Options per window sticker:
5 speed transmission
Option Group G53
Tinted winshield
Radial tires
Fresh air and ventilation
Leather steering wheel
Heated rear window
Mechanical fuel injection
4 wheel ventilated disc brakes
3 speed winshield wipers
High capacity discharge ignition
Undercoating
Rubber bumperettes F & R
and per Dealer invoice:
Air conditioning
AM/FM radio
Front and rear sway bars.
The car has covered only 83.496 k miles since.
In 2006, after being laid up for over 20 years the car was brought back to life.
This is an expensive process as the reason the car was stored in the first place was because the MFI pump failed and there are bills totalling over $ 13.500- documenting the re commissioning.
All systems were gone through:
Brakes: all new soft line, rebuilt callipers, new pads, master cylinder.
Fuel system: tank cleaned out, all new lines, new $ 3.000- alloy Bosch MFI injection pump, all new injectors $ 685-, and the list seems endless.
Add to that a brand new set of shocks, Michelin tires, new twin batteries and alternator.
Needless to say the car now runs and drives perfectly and is as tight as new.
I had a PPI performed at a local Socal Porsche shop and they proclaimed this car to be one of the very best they have come accross. A copy of the report is available to interested parties upon request.
The car was subject to one repaint in the 1980s to it's original Dalmation Blue,
paint code # 320-0-2
The good news is that all the jambs are original paint with the stickers, and ID plates intact.
The interior is complete and all original, the carpets and door pockets are in great condition as you would expect from a car with low miles, and as you can see from the pictures the underside has all it's original undercoating and is as good as the day it left factory, show quality. This your opportunity to purchase what must be one of the best cars on offer at present at a very reasonable price, I have set a low reserve.
The car comes with all supporting documentation, original Bill of Sale, order forms, cancelled deposit check, books and manuals, full tool kit, jack and original fuchs 5th spare wheel.
The car is honestly described, however there is no substitute for inspecting the vehicle in person, or having your agent do so, it is your responsibility to excercise due dilligence, failure on your part to do so ahead of bidding or before the end of the Auction does not allow you to hold seller responsible for any defects. Please also remember that this is a car that is now 34 years old and wil show signs of wear commensurate with age and mileage."

Notes: "This auction is for my 1970 Porsche 911T. Please review photos and request anything specific. Car was parked for over ten years when I got it last summer. The carbs were cleaned and oil was changed before I attemted starting. It turns over and has a spark but I have not tried to start with fuel, only starting fluid. Comes with the 4 stock Fuchs wheels on the car, with centercaps (6X15). Headliner and seats are in good condition, no rips. It has a "Perma Tune" electronic box. (see photo) The car was originally a Hunter green color, with black interior, and white headliner. It is a complete car, the only thing I have removed was the airconditioning unit. I am listing it as a "Parts Car, as is" because of the rust. Please dont contact me asking for a title and wondering if you can drive it home. I have had this car for a year and just dont have the time or money to make of it what I want. If you have any questions please dont hesitate. Car is located in Wrentham Massachusetts."
