Here are some keys we made to code for a 911 customer. Even when your keys are not good candidates for duplication, new keys can be made to your code. Don't know your code, not to worry we can decode your keys and locks. This key was bowed and bent; compare to the new master and valet on either side.

Not everyone requires a full restoration. Sometimes you just want to have your locks working correctly, matched and new keys. These early handles were refurbished and are now a great alternative for someone's budget build or daily driver. Handles like these are also good candidates for future replating as well.

Hello Damien,
You are very welcome. It was a pleasure making your new keys.

Here is another ignition that was a complete rebuild. We rebuilt the electrical switch and also rebuilt the lock cylinder. The lock cylinder was repinned to the customer's original key code. The pin tumblers and key had extensive wear. If you look closely you will see how worn the old key is as compared to the new one that was cut to code. Now he has a new key to code and rebuilt ignition.
When tumblers and keys are worn to this degree, the wear pattern results in effectively changing the original key code to another unknown foreign code.

Here is some work we recently did for a client. He has a 912 and his ignition reached the end of its useful life. His contacts were burned clean through. Luckily, the ignition stopped working before a fire occurred. You can see that the old lube looks charred (very dark in appearance). If your ignition has the typical "sometimes it starts, sometimes not" or I have to repeatedly initiate a restart, then you probably need a rebuild as well.

And these are the after pictures. The lock cylinder pins were also adjusted, new OEM keys cut to code, and a high polish to remove all the oxidation on the brass core.

Here are some master/valet key sets we cut for a client. We decoded his key and were able to confirm his key code. Now he has proof that the key code he found amongst his 911's documents is the original code to his car.

Dan - yes, this is indeed the key and lock cylinder (and key code) I provided you. I posted yesterday (obviously on another thread that sings your praises) just how pleased I am with the magic you do, and the promptness and superb customer service that went along with the transaction. You guys are the best - thank you! Steve
