Interesting bit of the frame carrying that transaxle. When I think of the 904 frame I always think of the Lotus Elan style backbone frame or the Europa one with the "Y" around the engine, but this is clearly different.

The rear subframe only carries the engine lid not the transmission.

Virtually weight-less. Hard to shut cleanly, too, so . . . took some practice to use properly
Interior is all hand-made. Car seems to've always been blue --- no traces of any other finishes . . .

Lever = rear clam release. Door latch = elaborate/a-bit-odd --- given simplicity of everything else . . .
