whose cars are these?
Thomas
You showed Toivonens car S-C 9166 at the 1968 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland. Below is the Leo Kinnunen/Martti Kolari car 39 from the same rallye (lifted from the video hence the quality) and two other cars - one looks like car 68 and the other is car 51.
Huschke von Hanstein on the video says that the only werks entry was Toivonens car.
the records show M.Salo/J.Laitinen in a 911 but I don't have any record of a fourth Porsche.
do you , or anyone else know who was in cars 68 and 51??

Hugh / Thomas ,
I am looking through my Automobile Year for 1968 under the European Rally Championship results and the names who are most likely are Ake Anderson, the Nystroms and Zasada .
There are others - Jack Tordoff,Claude Haldi but I would say they were not high on the werks assistance lists at the time.
Can't help with matching names and numbers, though. :(
Cheers,
Dennis. :)

number 51
Hello
This car number 51 is driven by Hans Laine. I think this photo is from Ahvenisto circuit, it was one stage 1968. In this stage Laine was 3.

Thomas (and others) i have the full video you posted clips of. It was run on Speed Channel some time ago when they had quality programming (Legends of Motorsport).
I tried to find out info on the sand beige (i THINK that's the color) car at the time and was unable to. At the time i was close to owning a sand beige car and while it wasn't the same car i thought it would be cool to have the info.
Anywho, i have backed that episode up on DVD if anyone cares to...borrow it. It really is fantastic.
