Winning bid: US $10,000.00

Notes: "This car has had, until me, one previous owner who is a friend of mine. He has passed on all that he can about the history to me. I have had this car since 2003 and it has been running, off and on, since 2004. Previous to 2003, the car had been sitting in a garage for over 15 years. Currently it is in need of some restoration, however this is mostly cosmetic.
From 2003-2004 the car underwent what was needed to make it driveable and street legal.
This included:
re-wiring the electrics
new dual batteries
new pipe lines
new gas tank
new brakes
new brake lines
new spark plugs
replaced exhaust header
A short shifter was also installed and is an added bonus when driving
A professional systems check on the transmission and engine
The fuel injection system was also replaced with the much more reliable carbureted system
Two sets of wheels and tires: The original ones as well as later model set
Due to the clean garage it had been sitting in, there is very little rust. The rust on the undercarriage was sanded out and other parts replaced. The belly was then coated in weather resistant spray.
From 2004-2005 body work was done on the car. The tires were replaced with brand new ones. Most of the small rust patches were filed down. The fenders were completely rusted through, replaced, and now sit flush to the body.
Since then little has been done. It has been maintained with the occasional drive and checking of the fluid levels. Batteries are constantly charged through wall socket and there seems to be little oil leakage. The transmission is in good shape. The engine was overhauled right before it was put in the garage by previous owner. The milage is stuck at 74000 miles. All the other gauges work. The suspension is still stable. As for the interior nothing has been changed. There is one 2 inch tear in the drivers seat and the roof upholstery is sagging. The sunroof also needs a new rod to work properly but it is a relatively cheap piece."

This is a project car that someone is going to have to spend some time getting road ready. The engine runs fine, but clutch and brakes will need work."

Notes: "FOR SALE IS A 1970 911 PORSCHE 911 T COUPE. THIS VEHICLE HAS A 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH WEBER CARBS. THE CAR HAS TWO SETS OF KEYS. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL RADIO. THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS IN THE DASH BOARD. THE CAR IS IN AVERAGE CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THE CAR WAS GIVEN TO ME AS A GIFT AND I SIMPLY HAVE NO INTEREST IN OLDER VEHICLES. THE CAR HAS 105,000 ORIGINAL MILES. IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT THE PAST 4 YEARS. I HAVE NOT STARTED THE CAR. THE PREVIOUS OWNER USED THIS ENORMOUS WRENCH TO TURN THE CRANK ONCE A MONTH TO INSURE THAT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT SEIZE UP. IT WILL NEED SOME MINOR ITEMS TO GET IT RUNNING. IT HAS A CRACKED WINDSHIELD WHICH IS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS. IT ALSO NEEDS A NEW DRIVERS SEAT CUSHION. THE SEAT ITSELF IS IN GREAT WORKING CONDITION. IT WILL NEED NEW BATTERIES, 4 NEW TIRES, NEW WEATHER MOLDING AROUND THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR (WHICH I DO HAVE). EVERYTHING PICTURED WITH THE CAR COMES WITH THE CAR.THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING INSIDE A HEATED GARAGE FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS. MY RELATIVE SAID IT WAS AN EVERYDAY DRIVER UNTIL HE LOST INTEREST IN THE CAR. THERE IS ALSO A BOX WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE MOLDING AND MISCELANEOUS PARTS AS WELL. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS AS IS."

Notes: "Car is an eye catcher. Looks and runs great. The engine has been rebuilt, it has a little over 10,000 miles on it. I have installed new batteries, plugs, points, V-belt, air filter and new bushings in shifter and coupler. I have had it professionally tuned by Porsche specialist. Car cranks and runs great. Targa top could use some work. Dirvers side floor pan has rust in it (see photo). It will need some attention at some point. The cost is $800. to replace, at Speed Werks. Car has been painted the original color in 2007. It has two spots where the paint has bubbled. One is on the door and one is on the trunk. (see photo) It has Alpine CD player and 6x9 Pioneer speaker box in rear. Interior is in good shape. Dash is cracked at the speakers. Carpet is worn at entry. Clock does not work to my knowledge. Headlight lense have rust but, work fine."

Notes: "PRISTINE FULLY RESTORED 1970 PORSCHE 2.2 911T COUPE
I have a lot to say about this little beauty. I am going to tell you everything I know. I am not a dealer and the car is not advertised locally. It will sell to the highest bidder once the modest reserve is met. To be fair to all interested party's I will not stop the auction early and with a ten day auction this will give everyone ample time for inspections and questions.
I do not believe there is a nicer or more desirable early 911T to be found. In the classic and most desireable original color combination of silver on black. Every aspect of the restoration was done as well as can be and without consideration regarding cost. This car was chosen by Brian Doherty of Southern California Porsche Restoration because of it's completely rust free body as well as a total engine, transmission, clutch, brakes and suspension rebuild had just been finished by the previous owner (10,000 miles). When Brian got a hold of it he poured another $17,000 into it to finish the project. Brian has been in the Porsche restoration business for 20 years and knows how to choose a car and do it right. I have the documentation from Southern California Porsche Restoration and from my finishing touches over the past year. They were never able to get the engine and trans rebuild (top & bottom) documentation. I strongly recommend you see for yourself the quality of the work performed.
A California car now residing in Massachusetts . Everything is as it appears to be. The engine starts instantly with the obligatory single puff of smoke and then settles immediately into a smooth idle. No oil leaks larger than the size of a quarter on my garage floor. Engine rebuild was to "E" specs with larger cams. The original Zenith carbs were re manufactured by Motor Miester of California to meet the "E" requirements ($1100.), receipt included. If you have ever driven a "T" before you will pleasantly surprised by the increased power. Working your way through the gears (original re-built 901 transmission) you will soon forget this is a 37 year old car because it drives like new. Tight, straight and true with it's new suspension. The car was just entered into the Northeast Zone 1 Concours D'Elegance at Newport Rhode Island on May 20th. I had no experience having never been to a Concours event before but I wanted to get it judged so I would have a 3rd party expert analysis of it's condition prior to listing it on E-bay. I entered the hardest most grueling category of Full Concours judging where 4 experts do a timed documented inspection. Most cars in this class are trailered , not driven. The peoples Choice Or Top Clean categories are much easier but do not get the close inspection or the scoring sheets documenting your car. I was awarded 4th place overall (in the largest and toughest category of 911's from '65 to '83) with a total of 280.5 points out of a possible 300. This event awards no points for age of vehicle or miles. If I knew more what to expect my score would of been even higher as I lost points mostly for reasons of simple cleanliness. (These boys white glove everything) I even got a deduction for dust on the jack. The scoring sheets of course come with the car, but could be faxed to any serious interested party.

Notes: "We have for sale a very clean, very sharp 911 Targa. We bought this car planning on keeping it forever. However our children have made other plans.
Here's a little bit of info on our car.
We bought this car at an auction from a car dealer who closed his business. (He was an Oldsmobile dealer and GM quit building Oldsmobiles)
Besides GM parts, books, lifts, desks etc there were two cars stored inside the back of the shop. One was I believe a 1964 white Olds convertible, and the other was this Porsche 911. Both were the dealers ( the owner's) personal cars.
Both were in exceptional shape for being stored for years and not being driven. Always stored inside.
We bought the 911.
I was told the dealer had the car repainted at his body shop, but I don't know how many years ago that might have been.
Who ever painted the car did it right.
We had the sent to our shop and had it inspected. We had all the fluids changed, new batteries, brakes, tires, filters, carbs overhauled, fuel system cleaned, new plug wires etc.
All the gauges work, tach, fuel, clock, odo, speedo, temp, and oil pressure gauge.
We always keep the car garaged, and the car comes with a custom indoor car cover.
This car runs and drives great."

Notes: "car purchased from 3rd owner who bought it for his wife (in1978). She did not drive it much. The car spent most of the time sitting in the garage with drives around the block. My husband bought this for me but I'm still holding out for the HD.
We have a note book with information from the second owner who had it from approx. 8000 miles until 46,000 miles (gentleman we purchased it from has had it garaged since 1978 and incurred less than 20K miles)
car has approx 63,000 miles and is original except for the following: paint, Stereo, Rear Bumperettes- car was tapped by another car and bent the metal between the bumperettes. We have original metal & bumperettes, which could be bent back. The car has had the front lowered back in the 70’s.
rims: cast magnesium that only came on the 911 t model, we have factory spare
car has dealer installed A/C. previous owner said it worked but had a leak, so he took belt off. Compressor turns, so it is not frozen.
paint was done by previous owner & has flaws. There are 2 small areas that have little rust. One is on the front fender below the window about the size of a nickel and the other is on the drivers door at the bottom about the size of a quarter. Other than that it seems to be rust free. There is no rust at jack points and we can sent you photos upon request.
The car also has mechanical fuel injection. The previous owner replaced the fuel pump with another fuel pump but we have original one.
Since this is a 35 years old original car which sat in a garage most of its life- there are things that will need to be attended to. Agood car to restore to factory condition. Most cars I have seen have had the carpet replaced, different rims, mechanical injection replaced with carbs, etc., but not this one. Most of the items that need attending to are paint and window seals, which are easily done.
car starts good and sounds good. We have not driven it far but it seems to operate well. The steering wheel is tight and has no play.
1972 only year that has the external oil filler on the rear fender. "

This is an exceptional Porsche that can be shown in club events and driven reliably.

Excellent paint and body with excellent interior, seats, door panels and pockets, etc. Drives very well. Getting harder to find in this condition. This car needs very little to be perfect!

This Porsche performs, sounds, drives, and handles incredibly as one would expect. There is only some smoke at start-up, as with all early 911s, but soon clears out. Engine runs strong and smooth, and is very responsive. No hesitation on acceleration. There is no smoke on acceleration. The top end has been completely rebuilt, new seals, and carburetors tuned. Clean engine, both top and bottom end. Brand new lower turbo valve covers & gaskets. Mechanically this car is very sound and can be driven daily or taken to car shows for display.
Wheels/Tires
The 15" Alloy Fuchs wheels are in beautiful condition, have no curb rash, and no corrosion. Recently polished. The spare tire is also in excellent condition and is very useable in an emergency. Tires are very close to brand new with less than 1-2K miles on them. Full tread.
Overall Summary
This original Porsche is an incredible original example that needs very little to make it a perfect concourse car. It is for the enthusiast who wants a high-performance early 911 without going through the frustrating heartache and huge financial expense involved with modifying and rebuilding a 911 to this level. Very clean and rust-free."

Notes: "Up for auction is the perfect 1970 911 T non sunroof coupe tub, roller or chassis for you next project. It has a clean clear Colorado title and has been stored indoors for the last 3 yrs that I have owned it.
The 1969-1973 911 chassis are the lightest weight of the long wheel base 911 chassis and the 1969 & 1970 chassis are lighter than the 71, 72, & 73 chassis.
This is a great rolling chassis to build a nice track/street rod or pure track/race car. I purchased this car with the intent of building it into a nice vintage racer but I have not had the time to build it. The rear quarters and front fenders where removed and sold to make way for light weight composite replacement parts from www.gt-racing.com . The chassis is straight and in very good condition from a structural standpoint. The chassis comes with steering, suspension, factory Porsche wheels and tires as shown, brakes, half shafts, front hood, rear deck lid, rear bumper, doors, all the glass except the rear quarters and the interior as shown.
There is some rust in the usual places both outer rocker panels, front suspension pan, and maybe the drivers side door strike should be replaced. These are very standard items to replace and are available from several suppliers such as www.restoration-design.com . There are several "How to books" for the do it your selfer or shops all over the country with experience in replacing these panels. The other usual rust areas are in cood condition and show no signs of rust such as the bottom of the doors, floor boards, inner rockers, parcel shelf, and rear seats."
