Shawn? Tom? You guys are going to break a leg some day! Why did I quit riding dirt bikes? When a heart surgeon I know "bemoaned" the fact that the Oregon legislature had passed a helmet law. That meant that his spare parts supply was soon to diminish. Yep, he was a transplant specialist. ;) (edit) Another part of the decision was made on an early spring good weather afternoon spent in a hospital waiting room. Possibly the first good riding day of the year here. A good buddy had separated a shoulder after a dirt bike spill. Sitting there, I watched 7 or 8 others came in, one of them DOA. All bikes. Judging by the injuries, after a few hours, I could tell whether it was a road or dirt bike. All that said? Goferit guys! I remember the fun as well. It's a gradually arrived at decision to give bikes up, if ever...ride defensively, Okay? :)
