Notes: "Up for auction this week is my 1973 911T targa, red with tan interior. This is a very nice driver in very good overall condition. This is the 1973.5 model to be exact, with the original 2.4 liter CIS fuel injected six (motor number 6136048) having been rebuilt in 2005. The car is rust free as far as I can tell. Underneath was Por 15 undercoated some time ago as a rust preventative measure. there is no rust underneath, and the pans look solid and original. No rust in the torsion tube areas. The doors and body panels are straight with no rust as is the trunk area. The car was painted red last year. The paint looks good. the car was originally paint code 415-9-2 which I believe is sepia, but you would never know it by just looking. The interior of the car is in average to good condition condition. The original Recaro seats have no rips; the dash had a cover. All guages work. Targa top is in great shape and seals don't leak. Mechanically the car is in excellent shape with about 5000 miles on the rebuilt drivetrain. The car runs out well and trans shifts well with no crunches. Engine updates including hydraulic tensioners were done at time of rebuild, and heat exchangers were upgraded to stainless steel. Brakes are very good. Factory Fuchs wheels. All in all a very good driver."

Notes: "This is an excellent extremely clean 1972 911T Coupe rolling chassis project car which has been stored in a dry heated garage for many years. We acquired the car from a customer who intended to use it for a track car. This is an excellent solid and straight, 99% rust free chassis, It does have a small puncture hole in the passenger side floor area which can easily be repaired (this "IS NOT" a rust hole, it lookes like it ran over a rock or someone jacked up the car incorrectly) . This rolling chassis has the following parts which go with this car: left front fender, both doors, and front and rear glass, plus more items which are too long to list. This car also comes with front and rear suspension attached but there is no drive train (engine, transmission or brakes). **NOTE** There currently is no title or registration with this car, it will come with a bill of sale."

Notes: "You are bidding on a nice original 1972 911T with fuel injection. This car needs some body and paint work. The interior is missing the driver's door panel. It runs and drives well. With the growing interest in early 911's, this easy-to-complete project will only increase in value."

Notes: "We are selling this 1972 911 Targa with 97,726 miles on the odometer (note that the odometer’s maximum is 99,999, so the full mileage is not certain). It has been my wife’s car since 1986. We love this car but since our kids came along about 5 years ago we just haven’t had time to enjoy it.
To our knowledge, it has been located in the south (GA, TX, and FL) and so has not been subjected to road salt. The previous owner was located in Georgia and installed Weber carburetors. My wife added an MSG ignition system and replaced one heat exchanger with a stainless steel exchanger. It is a perfect little project car for someone interested in a fairly minor restoration project. It is in decent but not perfect shape. We took it to a local Porsche mechanic who indicated that the front suspension pan is rusted and, for safety’s sake, should probably be replaced.
The photos show the add-on wooden wheel but we have the original. It also comes with a spare tire, a complete set of shop manuals, the original tire iron set, two car covers, new batteries, and a front bra (black). It has an add-on air conditioning system that operates adeqately but needs to be recharged periodically. It has an in-dash Blauplunkt AM/FM cassette radio. It has been re-painted once during our ownership. There are a few small rust areas here and there, most notably one that is about dime size on the hood. The seats have always been covered and so are in good shape; they are black leather. We don’t smoke so, at least from 1986 until now, it has been a smoke-free car. It runs well but rich when starting. It has been started and run 4-5 times a year. The proper operation of the wipers and headlights/turn signals have recently been intermittent and the hydraulic lifts that hold up the hood when it is open need to be replaced now and every few years."

Notes: "1971 Porsche 911T 2.2 Litre Coupe. Vin # 9111100067, Engine # 6111109. An original Rust Free California Car since new . Still wears it's original issue California Blue License Plates. This is a very clean entry level 911. Goood straight body , solid original Floorpan etc. It was repainted several years ago , and the paint is still very presentable. The interior does show it's age, dash pad has the usual cracks from the California Sun, door panels, carpets etc are all well used. The car had been stored several years, it is up and running now, shifts well, but would most certainly benefit from a full service. It is currently registered and comes with a clear California Title."

THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP . THE MOTOR RUNS AND SOUNDS VERY GOOD , WE DID A COMPRESSION CHECK AND ALL CYLINDERS ARE GOOD. THE CARBS ARE GUMMED UP A BIT FROM SITTING AND THERE ARE 6 CARBS ON THIS MOTOR. THE TRANMISSIONS IS A 5 SPEED AND SHIFTS THROUGH ALL THE GEARS WELL UP AND DOWN. THE BRAKE WORK BUT HANG UP SOMETIMES. THE MOTOR AND TRANMISSION HAVE NO LEAKS. THE OWNER TOLD ME HE HAD PUT ALOT OF MONEY IN THIS CAR 15 YEARS AGO INCLUDING REBUILDING THE MOTOR. HE DROVE IT UNTIL 1998 AND IT HAS SAT SINCE THEN. THERE IS RUST IN SPOTS AND THE FLOOR HAS BEEN REPAIRED BEFORE. THE CAR IS MOSTLY STOCK. THE INTERIOR IS DECENT. PAINT IS OK THE PAINT CHIPED OFF THE REAR QUARTERS BECAUSE THERE GALVINIZED AND WE JUST COVERED THAT UP WITH A CLOSE COLOR. Notes: "This is a really great, clean, fun car ! It is by no means a show car but one of the cleanest "drivers" that you are going to find in the Midwest. I purchased it from a guy who had a lot of body work professionaly done to it to bring the exterior to the condition it is in today.
I had the 2.2L motor completly rebuilt (top and bottom) and have less than 500 miles on the motor since then. The miles on the car show 51530 miles but I have know way opf knowing if these are actual miles or not. I also installed a newly rebuilt 5 speed transmission into the car less than 500 miles ago. I have the old original transmission that has a crack in the case, my understanding is that this transimission was only made for the 70 and 71 models. It is a dual battery system, quite a few of these cars have been converted to a single battery system. The car starts, shifts, and drives great! I do get a tiny bit of a drip of oil, but I also know that this is an issue with these type of cars. 9 of 10
Some issues that the car has is the interior needs a bit of help, a carpet kit would help alot, the drivers seat has a seam seperation where you sit and wear. I know that the front seats are not original to the car, I think they are from a SC but not 100% sure. It does not have a radio, I bought the car without this. The dash pad is in good condition and the head liner looks good. The gauges are in good working condition, except for the clock which does not work at this time. The floors, trunk, sills and engine compartment are very solid. I would give the interior 7 out of 10.
The exterior has a few scratches, paint chips and door dings but has an overall good appearance. One of the pictures listed shows a scrape about the size of a dime by the hood emblem. There is a scratch on the passenger door about 2 1/2 inches long by a quarter inch. There is a small amount of surface rust on the drivers side rear bumper, and some rust in the drivers side jam of the door, other than that I'm not aware of any other rust issues.I would give it a 8 out of 10."

Notes: "The 2.4-litre 1972-1973 model years are widely considered Porsche's best vintage 911's. This 1972 911T is in very good condition, having spent the first 25 years of its life in California, and is very fast. It was fully restored/re-built in the mid-1990’s – exterior repainting with factory sepia brown, interior restoration, and engine rebuild – at a cost of $25,800. Notable customizations are S engine/instrument upgrades and new cloth Recaro seats."
