Although NOS, the plexiglas quarter windows required polishing, Once unwrapped it became apparent that the surfaces suffered from some shop wear resulting from from forty some years of sitting on the shelf. However, the quarter windows polished out nicely with the application of aircraft canopy scratch remover and then slipped right into the frames without further issue.

RH and LH Behr coolers plumbed to crossover lines. Third image shows 100L tank and crossover lines filling up the luggage compartment. Epoxy coatings were applied to the tank, inside and out. The outside surface will be scuffed down and painted satin black.
The dry sump tank went out to Fabcar for a capacity increase and internal baffling for improved oil control. The Werks did not modify the dry sump tanks for the 2,3L cars in MY '70 and '71 but did get around to expanding the tanks for the MY '72 2,5L cars and the RSR to follow. We also really like the RSR look of the dry sump tank hanging down below the rear fender line...
The alu rain guards fasten to the alu engine lid with with two 1/8" rivets at the top and at the bottom. The top surfaces of the rain guards are painted satin black to match the finish of the "Werks prototype" style engine lid grille, while the rivets and bottom surface are left in natural aluminum. The rain guards are aligned to prevent the open stacks of the high butterfly throttles from flooding in wet conditions. We used the existing holes in the alu "trim delete" engine lid to mount the rain guards. Here are the pics illustrating the installation and finish details.
Harvey Weidman of Weidman Wheels in Oroville, CA refinished the Fuchs 7R wheels for the fronts while the original ST 9x15 magnesium minilites we found in Germany still need to be sealed and painted. The Fuchs wheels are finished with standard polished anodizing and paint. The minilites will be repainted "argent" (satin silver) as originally supplied.
This combination of rolling stock provides the hot rod look, unique to the Werks prepared 2,3L ST as raced during the '70 and '71 seasons and reminds the viewer that once upon a time, even the most sophisticated manufacturers of pur sang sports cars resorted to makeshift solutions when necessary.

Just taking a look here to see how the rear bumpers align with the ST flares.
We will use a speaker cover mounted Bosch kill switch as used on the Werks prepped ST. The cables are routed and ready for the installation.
Wheel wells were stripped of all the factory applied rock guard coating and finished in body color. Here are two shots of the 2,2S standard oil lines in the RR wheel well. Second image shows how the lines are routed through the sill.
