Notes: "This is a rare car, completely original 1971 Porsche 911 (911T) Targa. This car has not been modified with any of the common issues you will almost always find in a vintage car of this era. I have owned this car for almost five years and it runs great. I bought it in Colorado when I lived there. I was told from the previous owner that the car had always been a Colorado car. I have had the car in Minnesota for a few years now. It has always been garaged and never driven in the winter. The car drives and handles beautifully. This is a fun car. The paint is original at least as far as I and a Porsche mechanic can tell. I have added Porsche factory turbo tie rods to the car. This has made the steering very responsive. The windshield is new as the old one was cracked. Also, the rear seal of the Targa top is new. The car has 115,600 miles and the engine as I was told from the previous owner has about 40,000 miles on it. The transmission has just had the second gear sycro replaced and when shifting into second, you can feel that it is not seated yet. I’m told it needs another 500 or so miles to break in. Also, when the transaxle was worked on, a new clutch was installed. This is a 36 year old car. It is a blast to drive, but it is not show room ready. The car is sold as is with no warranty. The exterior has a few scratches, paint chips and door dings but has an overall good appearance. There is some minor rust on the car, but the Porsche mechanic saw it as not bad and not in need of immediate attention. The interior and exterior also show normal wear for a car of this vintage.
I have had a couple of people looking at the car and it has been brought to my attention that the paint is not the original. There are a couple of small spots that new painting is detected. The car likely at some time has had some minor body work and paint."

Notes: "1971 Porsche 911 T sun roof coupe. It has had many updates. Not run in 5 years but the engine turns over by hand. Was in a fender bender and the owner stoped driving it. It was running fine at that time. Options: 6 & 7 X 16 factory alloys, Factory sun roof, high back factory seats, Factory installed Behr A/C with a very good under dash unit,S Gauges, Power mirrors, 5 Speed trans later 911 Carrera console. Small flairs in the rear. DP fiberglass tail and updated rear lens. clean Ca title.
Bad stuff: Needs right front fender and hood. There is some rust only in the front of the car. Very easy fix. I can make it a runner after the auction and even fix the damage if you would like. The fuel tank and carbs will need to be cleaned out and Im sure it would run. Body and paint work can also be done but we will need to know how far you would like to go."

Notes: "A 1970 Porsche 911 that seems to be in pretty good shape; there are a few blemishes and cracks in the paint. One is on the front passenger quarter and the other real noticeable spot is directly under the passenger headlamp. Other than these two locations there are spots where paint is starting to lose clear coat and peeling up. I do not see any real body damage such as dents or areas of rust; it looks like the outside used to be cared for quite well. The inside of this beauty needs quite a bit of attention. The carpet is torn or coming up in may places; the seats have “racing” seat cover on them and the steering wheel is wrapped. The dash has had the stereo ripped from it and the wiring is left exposed. This Porsche does start and run; however this is not a “drive away vehicle”. The vehicle had to be jumped the only time we moved it and it did not run well at all. It took effort to get it into gear and we had to drive slowly so the motor did not stall. The odometer reads in the 1,000’s; but my best guess is that it has rolled over leaving me with no idea what its true mileage is. The title only says exempt and we have no records on service or dates."

Notes: "Look at this fabulous vintage 1972 Porsche 911T 2.4 Targa. Let this wonderful lightweight, air cooled classic numbers matching rust free Early 911, take you back to a more simple time and place. This rare and desirable factory stock Metallic Silver {936} 911, chassis number 9112111354, engine number 612322, has just received an extensive, very expensive, physical restoration. This incredible Porsche was represented to me with 32K original miles, and now shows 35,620. I cannot verify these miles, but have no reason to doubt it. I have 6 cars, including a 1970 911E coupe, a first year M3, and a 1970 Jaguar XKE convertible, and have only put about 3000 miles on this Porsche Targa, in the 7 years I've owned it. The 1972 911T is the only year the oil tank was mounted forward with an outside filler, to provide better balance, adding to this year's desirability. The 911T also received the desirable mechanical fuel injection for this year. It looks, runs, sounds, and drives beautifully, covering very few miles, since a recent major, restoration commitment, including a complete body restoration with fresh correct silver paint. A few tiny bubbles were present, and repaired with steel, but the original floor pans, battery boxes, and rockers are completely solid. The original, mechanically fuel injected 2.4 liter motor fires easily using one battery to save weight, and pulls hard and smooth throughout the rev range in all five gears, through the mint 915 gearbox, with a professionally fitted short shift kit, and excellent syncros. The sound is wonderful, with the added Bursch exhaust. The heat exchangers were removed to accommodate this system, but I have them, and they are solid. This motor has been well tended to, receiving the cam chain tensioner upgrade, religious oil changes, and is smoke and leak free. The wider factory Fuchs wheels have been correctly polished, and they wear a fresher set of 195/65 R 15 Pirelli P6000. The spare tire is on a Fuchs as well. The front Bilstein adjustable gas shocks have been professionally cross braced for additionally rigidity. The brake calipers have been rebuilt, with new pads. The clutch is smooth and strong. Inside, a perfect dashcap has been fitted, and the original black with fabulous red piping seats are free from splits, but the drivers side has settled a bit. The rear seats have seatbelts, only on the passenger side, and the snap straps have been removed. The door panels have been finished in the RS style, with red stitching, and without pockets. The upgraded black and red stitched leather shift knob matches.A slightly smaller 914 steering wheel has been employed to quicken the steering, an old racers trick. All of these minor changes and upgrades can be reversed, but the slight R Groupe flavor they bring, is very appealing. The front, rear, and side window, plus the Targa rubber seals are new, and this car does not leak in water. The Targa bar itself, is dent and scratch free, and looks perfect. The carpet floor mats are nice, with the carpet below removed. The front window does have a typical small spot of cloudy delamination, in the passenger side bottom, but performance and visibility, are unaffected. The rear window does have the heated option. All of the original badges, plates, and stickers are in place, including the coveted Porsche Marken-Weltmeister 69 70 71 sticker, on the rear window. The title is free and clear, with the original owners manual included."

Notes: "You're bidding on a 1970 911-T Targa (fixed window) with approximately 73,000 miles. This is for sale by its second owner who has had and
maintained the car since his purchase in 1978. As you can see from the photos, the car is in excellent condition, always garaged, and hasn't
been driven much - especially over the last 10 years. The car was repainted its original color some years back, but with the exception of the
driver's side rear fender, paint looks original and in very good condition.
The biggest flaw with this vehicle (and perhaps the only one) is the paint on the driver's side rear fender and
two small rust spots on the driver’s door. The car was in its garage parked next to a generator when the battery of the generator blew up
and splattered some acid droplets on the paint. Unfortunately, the owner didn't realize this had happened for some days following,
thus the damage to the paint. All other aspects of this vehicle are good; engine runs well, it has had both a fully rebuilt transmission
and new clutch installed within the last 18 months, tires are almost new, halogen headlights, the interior shows little wear and there
are no rips, tears or worn spots on the seats. Everything works and, perhaps explaining why older 911's are becoming more popular,
the car is more fun to drive than a new one.
The owner is selling the car because he has a pair of new hips and is not as flexible as he used to be. Based on recent sales at auctions and on EBay,
this car is fairly priced with a reserve lower than most (please don't ask) with many more miles on them. The car is being sold AS IS with no warranty).
While this car lived much of its life in Georgia, it is now garaged in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Owner has most records of maintenance and service over the years."

Notes: "Up for auction is a 1969 Porsche 911T. I normally deal in old Fords, but I got this in on a trade. I dont know alot about Porsches, but feel free to e mail me with any questions or I can take extra pictures of whatever you want to see. Here is a few things I do know about the car. The 6 cylinder engine runs really strong. If you let the car sit for a couple of weeks without starting it, the engine will smoke for about a mile or so. The car always starts right up. It does have an oil leak, looks like it is comming from one of the oil lines. The 5 speed tranny shifts real well. The car looks really good. A real eyecatcher in my little TN town. Interior is in real nice shape to be 38yrs old. It did come from the factory with the gauge package and chrome package. It has rear window defrost and the factory radio. It also has four wheel disk brakes, which will stop it on a dime. Car handles really well. The floor pans need some attention though. They are not rusted out, but are weak. The previous owner welded some metal bars across them for extra support. The only super bad thing I see wrong with the car is a part of the rear suspension needs replace due to rust. Its the part where the rear trailing arm mounts to the car. (I will post a really good pic of this) The car also needs door seals. I think that is all the bad stuff wrong with the car.
I was taking some more pictures and noticed that the rear sway bar next to where the rear trailing arm meets the car has broken loose due to rust and me driving the car. I am trying to find all the bad spots that way nobody gets any bad surprises.
The car has almost new tires all the way around. It also has a matching spare with orginal jack. I do have 4 maintenance manuals and alot of paperwork on previous maintenance that has been done to the car."

We are proud to list this beautiful and "Pristine" 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe. If you know me then and my past auctions then you know I tend to ramble a bit on my listings, but bare with me , this listing is well worth reading ! The car belongs to a local executive and old friend of mine, I have known this guy since the early 60's and our families go back to the early 1900s.
I never say anything on my Auctions that can't be backed up and this beautiful car is no different ! This 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe is like brand new, it only has a bit over27400 miles on it (see odometer pic). The owner is one of the most honest guys I know and after reading this auction you will see what a RARE FIND this car is.
This listing will be quite long but if you have any interest in this fine car its well worth reading every word. I will break down the auction as follows: 1.)The Cars History 2.) General Description 3.) My Closing Comments 4.) Terms Of Sale and Shipping or Pick Up Details.
OK, On to the listing:
"History Of The Car" ~~ Please Read This !!
If the History Of This Car Is Of No Interest To You Please Skip Over ItAnd Go Directly To The Description, However I Think You Will Find This Very Interesting and Informative. This Car Is A Rare Find and This Is Worth Reading !
My Client is the cars 3rd owner, we have all documentation from the previous 2 owners. Not only is the Original Window Sticker included but the bill of lading, all maintenancerecords going back to delivery of the car, the original owners manual, warranty records from the original owner and every note that made by the original owner in his own handwriting and written in the original "Maintenance Record Book" that Porsche included with all new cars (picture available) ~ Not only does it have the first owners name (the original owner)the booklet had a second page for the second owner and her name is on the second page as the "Second Owner". This booklet is so well detailed it has in the original owners hand writing when he had the very first wax job , when it was applied, who waxed the car and what wax was used as well as a Warranty Note that they had to replace the wiper motor and a couple light lens under the New Car Warranty , The car was purchased on Oct. 1973 and the Wax Job & Warranty Work for the Wiper Motor & Lenses was done in November 1973 (a month later)! It then has the first Oil Change done on May 23, 1974 with only 1206 Miles on the car. It looks like the car was not driven during the harsh PA. Winter Months. From Oct 73 to the first oil change in May 74 he only put on 1206 miles. The booklet goes on all the way through to the second owner who had her last oil change on October 12 1989 with 21995 mile on the car ! The current owner purchased the car in June of 1994 when the odometer read 23000. This means that when he bought it there was only 1005 miles put on the car in the next 4 1/2 years, (since Oct. 12 1989).
This is where the History becomes very interesting. When the current owner and (my client) bought the car with 23000 during the next 7 years until July 2000 he had only put on an additional 3500 (or so) miles. He then decided he no longer wanted the car and decided to sell it. Before he had a chance to sell it an employ of his asked if he could buy the car and make payments to him. My client being the generous and kind person that he is said OK but he would keep the title in his name until it was paid off, the guy made a couple payments and then unknown to him (my client) and without permission took the car to a very well know Porsche Mechanic, pulled out the 2.4 Ltr. original engine and proceeded to have a Brand new 3.0 Liter engine installed !! After all of this the "nice guy" that was buying the car from my client could not afford to make the payments to my client any longer and also didn't have the money to take the car out of the shop that he just had the new engine (and a bunch of other things done to make it run correctly) installed at . Not only did my client have to take the car back from this guy who bought it he ended up paying the shop over $ 15000.00 to get it out. Nice surprise wasn't it !! Just a note, the guy who was trying to buy the car took off and left our town never to be heard from again. Read on ..Fortunately and thank God the original Engine is still intact, in excellent condition (after all, it only had a well cared for 26,000 mile on it) and is included in this auction (see detail section of this listing).. This is what happens when you try to be a good guy. I think you get the idea of what sort of guy my client is. I have all of the paperwork about all the work that was done to the car at the shop that installed the new engine, the shop kept very good records, showing mileage in, mileage out and all work that was done tothe car during the transition between engines. The engine alone was $ 8200.00 but by he time it was ready to leave the shop the bill was $ 15350.15. This means the first and original matching numbers engine had only 26640 mile and the new 3.0 Liter engine only has 809 miles on it and I am told this 3.0 Liter engine is rare ? I do not know this for sure, but this is what I was told. if you have any question on it let me know !
U Must Read This Paragraph To See What Kind Of Client I Have ~~ AMAZING ! ~~
Not only was all the above work completed by the owner, when he asked me to list this car he told me I had to wait a few days until he got the car back from the Porsche Dealer in Cleveland ? I said why is it there ? He said , well Pete, before you sell it I wanted to make sure everything with the car was OK.. Listen to this !!! He just spent another $ 5862.25 on this car doing a bunch of maintenance work that didn't even need done. So on top of the 15 Grand he spent with the engine deal he just spent another almost 6gs to make this car perfect for the new owner (whoever the buyer is) ~ I am telling you, this guy is a very rare and honorable breed, not to many like him anymore. Oh, I have the invoice from the Cleveland Porsche Dealer. Email me if you want to know all they just did.. The invoice is dated: 07-12-07 ! Now have you ever heard anything like this before. The new owner will be a very lucky person !! Again, all of this can be proven at once if need be, just ask !!
I have all paperwork to back up all I told you along with dates and all mileage records to show all I say is accurate and exactly as stated. The file on this car is over an inch thick. It (the car) been pampered since the day it was made in May 1973 in Stuttgart Germany ! Folks, let me close this History portion by saying that over the years I have bought and sold a lot of collector cars. This is by far the finest car I have ever sold on Ebay or outside of Ebay. A lot of you know I sold my personal 66 Corvette matching numbers Coupe last year, that car was outstanding but not in the same class with this car ! This car looks like the day it came off the assembly line in Germany !! This Car is Spotless, None (Zero) Rust , No Chips On Paint , Straight As An Arrow, No Dents or Dings That I Could See Anywhere On The Car. Trunk (front) Is Perfect, Jack & Spare Tire Included (both new / never used) ! This car is perfect in every way.
