He put in an 89 3.2 with 21k miles on it. It looks like a rebuilt 75 trans was used along with lt weight flywheel and sport clutch. The engine was kept stock with the exception of headers, sport exhaust, chip etc. 22/29 torsion bars, Bilstein sport shocks all around etc. $22k in receipts in 1994 for this work.
One of my good friends bought the car in 1999 from Stephenson and proceeded to tear it apart and sent the chassis and body to Stoddard for the little rust repair it needed, plus a complete repaint in original silver to factory standards. In addition all new seals, rubbers, etc. Stoddard put on the ducktail, front and rear bumpers etc. The floors were solid and the rust was minimal mainly in the rockers IIRC.
I bought the car in 2006 or so, added sport seats and just drove it. We just completed a front to rear service, replacing all oil lines, cleaning up the front compartment, removed the roll bar , and just took care of a few niggling issues...oil pressure and oil level senders etc. It should be all back together next week.
Can't wait to drive it again.
