I'd like to add some more info for my car #717. Chassis, shell trim: front bumper weights, no. black hood hinges front and back, fuel tank in non-textured gray, yes, interior back seats high rim, yes
and he is one I noticed the door glass and front vent window glass has a small logo, smaller than later Porsche and it says sekurit and non number one. I have noticed on later cars the clear glass says sekurit 1 and the tinted says sekurit F mine does not have the 1.

I noticed my car #717 has a different key hole for the outside door handles it is the on on the left, the one on the right is from a later car, 1967 or so.

It looks like your car has the earlier concave door push buttons. Jacques Verdier's list shows them being used to at least chassis # 301666. Here's a photo of the door handle on 301382:
I may have the buttons upside down on my car but I haven't gone to the trouble of fixing that.
In addition to being concave the earlier ones also dont have a central groove running all the way across.
I disassembled the doors this summer to put on correct door handle gaskets. I was going to swap the handles but I thought at the time that I'd also have to reposition the little arms with prongs that lock and unlock the door. I decided not to cope with all the little parts and springs...
I'm an electrical/software/systems engineer and door lock mechanisms are too much for me.
Here is the original cardboard rear trunk wall for my #717 car I wonder how many of these are still around? I also wonder when these were used and when they stopped using them?

I decided that I will make a pattern a kind of a "mechanical drawing" with dimensions and I'll post it here when it is done. I have seen this same kind of cardboard on other 911 parts in the past, I havnt figured out where yet but when I do I'll post it on this thread too. It does look like the same material as the 69-73 curved cardboard that covers the two fuse boxes in the front trunk, that piece is silver and this one is charcoal gray/black.
