My 12 year old son was looking at this thread this weekend (well he was looking over my shoulder at the time),, asking this and that ,, as kids do, he recons that he should forget the metal and woodwork class at school.
He went off on his own and read up on line about annealing and said "they havnt got that hot enough to make it soft" but figured it out when he realised it was Aluminum
Think you guys should GoPro it all and condense it into a video for the youth to see how things used to be done.
Wooden jig and all.
