Wouldn't stake my dogs life on it but dollars to donuts that gauge has been opened up. My point is that if the odometer wasn't working even momentarily, the mileage could not be stated as 100% original. Obviously a paper trail would not document if the odo was inop for just a few miles.
Not a ginormous issue... the car is still very pretty. (If it were a manual then I would describe as "handsome".)
And BTW: Another lesson here: Straighten your engine grill before glam shots.
The "olde" York piston style compressor for AC. Nice touch for originality. These felt like the car had a sudden "miss" when you turned them on. They did actually rob horsepower.
Anybody see numbers on the grill slats? ;)
Wonky grill slats always bug me, there's no excuse for it... another miss is lack of drivers pedal carpet. Haven't seen that before in a restored car, two-hole carpet is readily available. Regarding the side markers, our '68T never had them and it was US delivery... was that a state requirement thing?
