I haven't found this piece of information on the site, so I post this here.
Sorry if this is old news.
It seems that 911 360 0002 is now in France:
http://porscheclubrsdefrance.com/registres/911-360-002/
And it seems that it was, indeed, LEO- ZA 60.
Please note that the "production number", 102 3901.

Two Questions, first regarding flares. I noticed on the car above that the flares look different from other ST's. Did the flares vary from the factory? Kit vs factory installed etc??
Or am I being fooled by the wheel sizes being used?
Second question would be in regards to the 69 S that recently went across the block in Europe. It was a Rally car turned road racer. Raced LeMans from 70-72 in ST trim. Would this be considered a ST car even though it's based on a 69S VIN? I have heard of two examples that fit this criteria.
Here are some details and pictures of the 1969 911 S examples I was referring to above
Chassis Number 19300644 was manufactured as a normal S by the factory and duly sent to the Werks Porsche Competition Department who converted T, E, and S specification cars into S/T Specification straight from the production line. The car was sold to Kent Frohde, resplendent in Conda Green, on the 22th September 1971. The engine- an original 2 Litre – was tuned to 242bhp. According to Kent Frohde, this was the strongest 2 litre engine that Porsche had tuned at the time.
The car was raced in Swedish racing series at the beginning of the 1970s until it was retired, and the last time it was road worthy was 1976. During 1970 to 1976 it follo§wed the evolution of race cars and was upgraded to meet the competition.
Chassis 119300644 comes complete with a large history file, containing a letter from Kent Frohde confirming its authenticity. The car has been used by its current owner on a large number of European events and rallies where it has performed well. It also benefits from a recent and documented engine rebuild.

Trying to keep this thread alive, Mirrors this time I've noticed
Pre 72 cars have a mixture of stock mirror and Talbot mirrors
Was it an option either from the factory or in the "Kit"
I've seen a few cars with a very minimal dash cover (see photo). Was this a factory piece? Does anyone know if anyone makes a repro version? Would love to run something similar for my current project.

Steveo; that's just perlon felt, if I'm not mistaken. I believe it was more seen in '75+ competition cars?
Gents.

My class rules states that we must follow homologation form from historic cars in the periode 1966 to 1971.
I am running with homologation form 3025 from 1969/1970 - Press link:

No cars or parts can be used after the year 1971 but if we documented or proof that Porsche or Porsche cars did participated in an FIA approved race in 1971 or before, with these parts we can apply for permission to use these parts for racing.
So here is the Big questions that i can´t seem to find the answar for:
- Did Porsche/Porsche cars ever Participated in an FIA approved race with the S Bumper.? Did any of the 20 Porsche ST race with the S bumper before 1972 and can this be documented.?
- Did Porsche/Porsche cars ever Participated in an FIA approved race with the high butterflies before 1972.? - and can this be documented.?
- Did Porsche/Porsche cars ever Participated in an FIA approved race with the 2.5 ST engine before 1972.? - and can this be documented.?
- Did Porsche/Porsche cars ever Participated in an FIA approved race with the 1972 model - oil tank on right side - in the year 1971.? and can this be documented.?
I'm in dialogue with our historical committee about these issues, so please help out and beer are on me.
Thanks - Cheers - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen.

As to this first question:
I have nothing so far that is FIA official ....
However, I have a pretty big collection of Porsche books and I just re-checked two of them that would give the best '71 to '72 visual reference to your question.
First I looked at Pascal's 'Porsches at Le Mans', a year by year picture reference of every Porsche entered and run at the race (up until 1984) My thinking is that all the factories used every bit of 'aero' available for Le Mans. Result - None of the '71 entries had a S splitter/spoiler. Only one of the seven '72 entries did not have the S splitter/spoiler.
My second reference is Weber's 'Grand Tourisme Porsche Racing History in Photographs Part I 1970-1975. The book is divided into years... Result - None of the 40 pages of '71 show an S splittler/spoiler. A very few of the of the 44 pages of '72 photos show entries without an S splittler/spoiler.
Also -
- Pascal's book also notes the specs per year and all the 911's in the '71 Le Mans were either 2245 cc's or 2380 cc's
- The title of Weber's section for 1971 is 'Still 2.3 liter - Still successful'
- The title of the section for 1972 is 'New class, new victories - The 2.5 liter cars'
Not sure if this is what you wanted to hear.... and again my reference is not FIA official...
Best,
Chuck
