Thanks Chuck.
Same resultat as i did find - No 1971 Le Mans entries had the S splitter/spoiler, but almost all 1972 entries did.
But i am very interested in the Porsche 911 1970 - 911-030-0949

Here is what i could find - Thanks to all on this board:
- Started out as a 1970 factory rallye special (REG: S-R 2970) did 1970 6-10/5: Alpine Rally, Austria: Waldegaard/Halmer; 1st. and 14-18/11: RAC Rally: Larrousse/Wood; 6th and then was used by Bath as a service car for the 1971 Monte before being sold to Meznarie.
- It is supposed to have then done a lot of races in 1971 for Meznarie (and according to John Starkey's book kept on trade plates for that time) with various drivers before being done up as a lookalike of the lightweight 1970 TDF car and entered in the 1971 Tour de France by Meznarie for Barth/Dolhem, #132; DNF. Reg. #: 4833 0C 91. Psychedelic Shell colours.
- 1971 Criterium des Cévennes , Gerard Larrousse - Jean-Claude Perramond / dnf - (Bernard Darniche - Alain Mahé / winners / Renault A110 1800 proto.)
- In late 1971 / early 1972 it was supposedly then sold to Larrousse who campaigned it briefly (including the Nurburgring 300 in April 1972 which is where this picture is from) before selling it on. It is likely that the license plate changed when Larrousse purchased the car from Meznarie but maybe someone from Europe can confirm that.
I would really like to know more about this: 911-030-0949 - Please cime in:
Did it attended the 1971 Criterium des Cévennes with Gerard Larrousse - with the S-Bumper/splitter.?
Did it attended any race in 1970/1971 with high butterflies.?
What size engine did they run in 1970/1971.?
How much did the 911-030-0949 weiged in the 1970/1971.?
Which homologation number did the 911-030-0949 run.?
Thanks - Cheers - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen.
More grist for the mill. 911/21 engine was introduced in 1971. 87.5x66 and also ran the "baby" high butterflies....2380cc called the 2.3 but should be classified as 2.4S
I'm assuming these were all mag cases?
911/21 factory engines were. However it is important to note that most of these cars were ran by under funded privateers and few were factory ran cars. They upgraded engines out of the catalogue. Per previous posts records show they pretty much used whatever cases they had; including, early sand cast alum cases.
I think that's what adds to the mystique of the ST. I'm researching 9111300492 which was a car that raced/rallied over in Europe. Amateur team from what I've been told, everything is hearsay at this point. Car started life in Germany I believe. Former owner said it had upgrades and repairs done at the factory at some point. Very hard to determine what was done as Porsche COA dept has limited records on this car, other then Engine number and color. Not even a document on build number or country it was built for. Car came to Canada in the mid 80's with ST flares in the front and what looked like RSR flares in the rear. During restoration numerous paint colors were found one of which being pink. If anyone has any knowledge of a pink race/rally car in Europe please let me know.
Cheers
Just wondering if anyone has any info as to what size wheel spacers were used with the 7R front Fuchs on cars that ran Minilites on the rear? ( as opposed to rally cars running narrow wheels all round). I'm sure Flunder will know...
Matt, the front spacer on the early 7R fitted to the ST is 27mm. This spacer was not required once the later 7 X 15 was introduced in March 71.

Thanks Stretch.
With the owners permission, some photo's of the recently restored Vestey and Bond. ST. 911 130 1270
