I'll measure the cardboard front trunk piece today. It is cardboard the same material and thickness as the door cards. The door card cardboard is silver and this trunk piece is black on the front and tan (cardboard color) on the back.

not sure if this has been covered or not but the door opening buttons, the ones inside the arm rests on my car are concave on the end and later ones are convex. In the picture the two for my car #717 are on the left, a later one is on the right

Someone asked about the inner front trunk, mine appears to be black tar/asphalt material, it is red but my guess is it got painted over when the car got painted in the past.
In other words black asphalt painted red. I believe it was probably just black asphalt from the factory.
Earlyaircooled, that black asphalt sounds about right. Can you post a photo of the cardboard with the measurements, thanks for the info? Cool find! I've seen black cardboard like this on Porsche cars, but I just don't remember what type of model it was.

Nice info. This appears to be a change then early 1965. See post 456: 1022 has the convex type, so probably changed between 717 and 1022.Quote:

The overall dimensions of the total rectangular shape is 885mm x 250mm. There are cut outs on the bottom the first one going left to right, starting on the lower left corner is 90mm wide and 25 mm deep. There is a cut out that starts at the right bottom corner, it is 175mm wide and 50mm deep. The next is a cut out a small slot that is 70mm from the 175mm wide cut out and it is 10mm wide and 40mm deep.
Has anybody ever mentioned the small differences in seat hinges? If not, here goes.............
Notice the rubber flap vs the rubber bushing. I can't give specific details of when the change was made but the rubber flap is rarely seen on 911 seats. The knob is also unique.
Also notice that the seat with the flap (the early one) has perforated vinyl like a 356C seat. The rubber flap was also on 65 year model 356Cs.
