Notes: "I am offering my 1969 Porsche 911T that I purchased last fall. It has 40,160 miles and still sports it's original Slate Gray paint, Red Vinyl seats and Red carpeting. I purchased this car from a older Porsche collector that had left it sit for aboout 8 years due to a oil leak. I had planned to go thru this car and correct the mechanical problems and detail it, but I do not have the time to devote to this great car. I have washed and waxed the exterior, drained the old gas, did a valve adjustment and changed the oil and filter. I believe the oil leak is the front main seal. The original Hardi fuel pump did not work so I replaced it with a new Hardi pump that is a correct replacement for this year Porsche. I also replaced the 2 batteries with proper fitting Interstate batteries. The engine starts up easily but needs adjustments to the carburation and timing. Transmission shifts very smoothly. The brakes work but if I was to keep this car I would flush the brake fluid and make sure all calipers are working properly. I feel this car is not reliable to be driven without some adjustments or repairs, so plan to have it trailered to your destination.
The vin # is 119121621, the tag on the door sill states it was made by Karman and the paint code number is 68-6801-1 which according to the Red Book is Slate Gray. The 4 Fuchs are the 5 1/2 X 14 type and have Perilli P4000 tires with good tread.
The original tool kit and jack are included as well as the original Owners manual and paperwork for the Blaupunkt "Cassette" radio. The previous owner stated this was installed when he bought it, I am not sure it is original. I will let you be the judge of that.
I also have the original leather key fob with Porsche crest.
I believe this is an early 1969 model since it does not have the CD ignition system, the chrome spare wheel is dated 1/69.
The steering wheel is a leather wrapped Porsche wheel in nice condition, and the seat belts are marked Porsche on the tags.
I am including a extra distributor with cap, rotor, points and condenser, but the cap has a crack which has been repaired with epoxy. Also original style ignition wires and coil.
The bright red floor mats are Lloyds mats and there is a carpet style dash cover. The dash does have a crack near the speaker but overall is in good condition.
There is no rust on the underside of this car, look at the photos and see for yourself. There is a small rust spot on the right front fender at the front of the sill deco, it does not go thru to the floor and should be an easy fix. There are several dings on the fenders and hood, if I keep this car I would have a dent removal company go over it and smooth them out. The chrome trim is in very nice condition.
Interior is red vinyl with red and black door panels. The carpet is red as well. ALL ORIGINAL.
Engine number is 6195947"

Notes: "Offered for auction is an unrestored '69 911T. The car was owned from 1971 until my recent purchase by scientist at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. He purchased the car in Colorado and moved to Eastern Washington State in '76. The car was a daily driver for him, but in '90 a timing chain tensioner failed. The car hasn't run since. Although the car needs a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration, it is refreshingly original, and has only superficial rust.
NUMBERS: Chassis 119122547, Engine: 6196094, Transmission: 7196339, Paint: 6805
BODY: Much of the body still has the original Bahama Yellow finish. What you see is what you get with this car. There are no sins hiding under shiny aftermarket paint. According to the owner the right front fender was damaged at one point, and it appears to me to have been replaced. There is some evidence in the right front corner of the trunk of repaired damage. The outer rocker panels are rusted, and will need to be replaced. All of the inner structures look good. The longitudinals and jack points are solid. The floors look perfect from underneath. The front suspension pan looks okay, but I suspect once you are done grinding or blasting there will be some repairs needed. The doors have never been off the car, and fit perfect. They close and latch with a "ping". There are miscellaneous small dings on the car. The right rear bumper has been repaired, but the quarter panel doesn't look to have been touched. The bottoms of the doors are perfect, and the skins have no bubbles. The areas around the bottoms of the front and rear windows do not have even a bubble showing. The anodized window trim is surprisingly very good, so nice I wouldn't re-do it.
MECHANICAL'S: I'm assuming the tensioner failure resulted in a timing chain jumping time. The engine will require a complete rebuild, and probably has some bent valves. The carburetors are Weber by the way. The transmission is a five speed. The owner claimed it worked well when parked. I would rebuild it anyway. The mileage I have listed is what the odometer reads (+100K) and is close to actual. The owner indicated the speedometer cable had broken and was replaced a couple of times.
INTERIOR: Original except for the seat cover inserts. Even the carpet has never been changed. Most everything needs to be redone. The driver’s side pocket has broken plastic hinges and does not stay in place on its own. The car still has the original radio, and no extra speaker holes.
The car comes with a spare wheel and tire, Jack, owner’s manual, mileage log, and a dried up tube of Bahama Yellow touch up.
The car represents a great opportunity for someone with the some skill and enthusiasm. Cars that haven't been restored or even completely repainted are hard to find. I've spent many hours re doing other's workmanship over the years, often on "restored" cars. This car hasn't had many bolts turned."

Notes: "The year 1973 911s saw a further increase in engine displacement by lengthening the stroke from 66 to 70.4mm, while the bores remained at 84 mm. The cars were called 2.4s, but the actual displacement was 2341 cc. The goal was to enable an emission-legal U.S. engine to have the torque and flexibility to result in good driveability. The T model now came with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and with new cam timing and larger ports, the torque peaks were at lower revs, contributing to the flexibility.
This vehicle has the best of both worlds with the option to be open or closed top with a built-in stainless steel roll bar. It is a two passenger car primarily, but also has a jump seat in the back for two additional passengers. Great for touring, very fast and performance engineered. This is the end of the Porsche production of the most desirable body styles with the early 911 look.
This great Posche has recently been restored to show-driver level by Classic Showcase. This is an excellent example to add to any collection. This vehicle was very original prior to the restoration with mostly original paint, completly rust-free, original floors, excellent fit, and original interior. This was an unmolested car and also a great candidate for its restoration. This vehicle was stripped, body worked, sealed and painted the original color Sepia Brown, color sanded, and buffed by Classic Showcase. The interior was completely redone by our upholstery department. The engine and transmission have been serviced and parts replaced or restored as necessary including recalibrating the fuel injection pump, rebuilding cold start mechanism as factory intended, and replacing injectors. A new clutch system was installed, instruments were restored, all electrical was gone through, new shocks, new rubber seals, targa top restored, bumper overrides rechromed, new trim installed as needed, and a complete vehicle detail inside and out. Once again recently the paint was wet sanded and buffed to give it a superb finish. New tires were also installed on the original restored Fluch Alloy wheels, and two original style 12-volt batteries were placed in this matching numbers classic. This is a very fine example of a 1973 Porsche 911 T Targa, and it comes with DVD documenting the restoration process."

Notes: "Offered for your consideration is a highly sought after 1973 ½ Porsche 911T Targa ready for a full restoration. This car is non running due to an 8-10 year storage, but has always been garaged and has lived its whole life on the West coast avoiding most of the rust and corrosion other cars have gotten. The small bumpers give the car a light sleek look that the later cars cannot match. If you have ever wanted to restore one of these cars, this is an excellent matching engine candidate. We were lucky enough to acquire this car from its second owner who realized that his intended restoration no longer fit into his current plans. His loss is your gain so fulfill your dreams and take this 911 to the level it deserves.
Paint & Body
The original color of this car is Glacier blue and the original paint has been covered with what looks to be one respray and then primered in spots. Front hood has the original finish on the underside and shows no signs of repairs. Door jamb areas are clean and rust free. Very minimal rust with a couple small holes in the driver’s side door as pictured. There are a few blisters in the lower portions of the doors as well, but when popped with a razor blade, they are not rust, just poor paint adhesion. Overall body condition looks to be very good. The rear body panel was removed to repair the exhaust and has gone missing as well as the rear portion of the muffler assembly. The doors open and close solidly and have excellent gaps. The floorpans, sills, and front trunk floor are extremely solid. Even the areas around the windshield and back glass are very solid due to it always living in California and Oregon climates.
Interior
The interior is original and complete although will need parts restored. The dash has a few cracks in it but is relatively good shape and the gauges are workable. The door panels and steering wheel are in good shape.
Mechanical
The engine is free but has not been run in 8-10 years. Prior owner stated it was in good running condition when parked for broken exhaust pipe. Car is complete minus muffler and rear body panel. As stated before this is a very desirable 911T Targa with the sought after 2.4 liter CIS fuel injected engine. The car will require complete going thru to be drivable due to long storage. The transmission appears to be the original and there are no signs of any chassis or suspension damage in its past.
Summation
This is an excellent car for restoration. Last of the smaller bumper cars. Complete with its 5 original Fuchs alloy wheels, the original jack and lug wrench. The original owners manual is still with the car. This is a car worthy of a high quality restoration. Perhaps one of the best years for classic small bumper 911’s this is a rare find and ready for a new home."

Notes: "You are bidding on a 1973 Porsche 911T. I purchased the car from a neighbor last August and it has been sitting in my barn ever since. The plan was to conduct a full restoration of the precious gem with my son but decided against due to college tuition this coming fall. The car is truly in pristine condition. The previous owner had the car last inspected in 2001, I believe, but was failed because one of the headlamps was out and the horn did not work. After the rejection, he placed the car under a tarp for the next seven years until we saved it. All he could tell us was that the car had been fully redone a few years back (did not specify year) where a new engine was put in it. Originally, he continued, the car's old engine (2.4L) was fuel injection (now it is carbureted (still a 2.4L)). Personally I have not tried to start the engine but I am about 95% positive that it will run after you flood the cylinders with some mystery oil. Last summer, my son and I spent about a week carefully pulling the car apart in order to sand it down. All parts are in the attic of the barn away from moisture. The seats, headlights, front bumper, blinkers, etc. (whole interior) are in great shape (see photos). I threw nothing away. The back seat has all of the gunk/glue that attached the rug to the car still on it, that is not rust even though it may look like it. The 1973 Manuel for the car is included.
Description: It has a 5 speed transmission but I am not sure how it runs; I assume it runs just fine. The car has ABSOLUTELY NO ROT on it at all, and very small areas of surface rust. It needs to be sanded down and repainted. Because the old owner left gas in the tank, it began to rust the inside due to condensation. Needs a new one or the old one needs to be split at the seam and sanded. Needs a new rug kit also. The underneath is in very good condition as well as the wheel-wells... have not discovered any rust in these regions. There is one large scratch on the passenger side door that needs to be sanded out. There are two dents on the car, one on the back fender and one on the back hood (see pictures). It needs new tires but the rims look very good. The glass is in very good condition. Weather lining needs to be replaced. Most chrome is in good condition. Both bumpers are in good condition, just need to be sanded and painted. Dash has a few cracks. A dash cover can be used to cover them up or replacement. I am not sure of true mileage on the vehicle or on the engine.
The VIN number off the car is 9113100498. The odometer reading is 99046. I have recently found the vehicle inspection report from 10/31/2000. It was rejected for a broken E-Brake (does not hold), horn did not work, left marker light did not blink, and the windshield wipers were nonfunctional. If anyone wishes to see pictures of the undercarriage or wheel wells, please message me your e-mail and I will send them to you asap. There is minimal surface rust on the undercarriage and very minimal surface rust on the insides of the wheel wells. Can be easily sanded off, primed, and painted.
There is a small bump on the roof of the car. It should be easily bumped out from the inside. If you look at the picture of the back of the car, in the top left corner of the window (driver's side) you can see it. It is not very noticeable (I personally just notice it) but I want to provide the best description possible."

Notes: "This auction is for a 1973 Porsche 911t. The car was in an accident, it spun out and most of the panels were damaged. Despite the damage I believe this car is a great restoration candidate, race car, RS or RSR project because it is so amazingly rust free. The only rust I can find and I have looked at the whole car top to bottom is surface rust in the battery areas. That area is still solid and I believe it can be cleaned up without having to replace that panel. The orange color is original to the car, I verified it with the tag on the drivers side door jam, and it is everywhere including inside the doors and the floor boards, a classic early 911 color.
I got this car from Lodi California (dry central valley) last November. When I got the car it was missing the brake calipers, engine, sway bars and transmission and it was damaged as it is now. Initially I thought I would part this car out completely and send it to the scrapper but as I got into it I was amazed at how well preserved it is (see pics). I stopped short of parting it out completely and I would like to pass it on to someone who needs a fun project. The mileage on the odometer when I removed the speedometer was around 60,000 miles and the car really looks like it lived a pampered low mileage life until it was wrecked. I believe this car was in California since 1973, if you look at the pictures you will see it still has an original California emmissions sticker in the window. Included in the auction are rear fenders and cross bar that I got from another orange 73t. With those parts and some time with a welder I believe this car can be fixed. On that note the door gaps did not look pushed in and I cannot see any "frame" damage. I think all of the dents though some are pretty bad are "superficial". I cannot guarantee that all dimensions are correct because I have not put this car on a frame jig etc. Although I believe this car can be fixed it is sold as is.
The car is a roller with early 911 steel wheels on the back and "phone dials" on the front. It comes as shown in the pictures, with a cracked dash, and the rear fenders etc. also the good clear title. This car has no brakes (except I think the emergency brakes work), sway bars, transmission, engine, engine lid or grill, windshield, seats, gauges, door panels etc. See pictures for what is included with the car.
I will reattach the drivers door which is damaged and put plastic on the drivers door opening and the windshield area for transport to keep it dry inside. The passenger door has a window that I will roll up. extra parts like the rear fenders will be packed inside the car."
