Has anyone else notice that on Southbounds interior material web page they state IVORY is NOT an OEM color. I'm pretty sure it is, as my 69 is whiter than my 71 but no where near that off white as of Kaleid photo.
I'm pretty sure that southbound headliner perforations are right on even the distance between holes.
I'm thinking of ordering one but I know that I'll have to dye it to an off white ivory color.
Does anyone have any thoughts on dying this headliner material.
Thanks
Greg

Hello,
I'm restoring a 1969 T with sunroof, model year 1969, build date late 1968.
While reading the info on this site about headlinings I was interested what to order for my car.
When I checked I'm perplexed:
Attachment 573803
the headlining is partly square (sunroof and surrounding part) and partly diamond (next to side windows)!
has anybody seen this before?

Note the color change from the darker tint (Square pattern) to the lighter tint and it's diamond hole pattern, my guess is that the diamond was used to replace a damaged section. For a long time the square was just not available, no matter who you ordered from the diamond was the product you got.
Not until restorations required correct patterned material did the square pattern show up as an option.

as to "dying" the headliner...
marhide (maybe another brand now)
maske off perfectly and spray it on your existing stained headliner and it should look like new....
i have done it many times before....
pretty sure that if you find the brand the paint jobber can tint to color match....
