Oddly, there were no 'sniper' bids, but after the auction closed, the car was snapped up at over the reserve amount. Unfortunately, not staying in the US. My prospective buyers here were asleep at the switch. :-(Quote:

IT turns out I got the original Kardex and the numbers are all matching on the car even if it is out of range with the Morgan book. interesting-but all original according to COA on the Sloan car. I think I am making a deal for it

Thanks for that one. I'm now in contract to buy it but the car still has to be 100% right. Richard Sloan has agreed to make everying right or I can cancel the deal. The car has been beautifully restored but some of the trim and mouldings are definately not 67S but from 1968. Now i am on the hunt figuring out what it is that I am buying and what is needed. Any info is aoppreceiated

For what its worth...some late 67S came with 68 bits. Paul from Auto Kennel has researched this for his recently sold 67S. Might want to give him a call. If it is missing the NLA OE outside decos Erik (strosik ?) is selling a limited run of 67S wide decos. All the other pieces are easier to locate.
We are coming full circle on a 67S slate grey/ Red restoration and I have had to learn all things 67S to get the car right. This car will be perfect when we are done..late spring. The details on of the 67S are unique to that year and it being an S.
Here is a '72 S for sale in Turin, Italy. Seller states that the car is numbers matching and road legal but it looks to be better suited for the track. Perhaps one of our Registry members from Italy can share more about the car. There is no stated price.
