Opinions, please, on this 1973 911T being auctioned in FL in Jan 2013:

Appears to be the same car that sold last month at auction in Anaheim for $54K

And was offered last January (2012) at auction in Arizona:

How many times can this poor little girl get "flipped" in a one year period? I was interested in this car when it was listed for private sale in Oceanside, but couldn't get down there to see it in person.

Do you checked all of the photos ? This car has massive rust holes. At both jacking points and at driver side lock post. Looks horrible to me.
California car indeed. You are deluded if you believe all California cars are rust free.
I got me a real "California (black plate) Car" 356SC that came from a well known establishment. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! The prep for the original sale was pretty clever but that's what USED CAR LOTS ARE BEST AT DOING.
Last piece of advice for anyone buying a car from anywhere: NEVER BUY ANY CAR WITH FRESH UNDERCOATING UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT'S UNDER IT. More especially, one that has seen application via fire hose.
The pluses far outweighed the minuses. All matching panels, engine and transmission are original and it hasn't been in a serious accident (nose intact!). What it suffered from is 46 years of patch work followed by a hollow attempt to make it look perfect via "high build undercoating" or as I refer to it: "The Black Hose Job".
Strangely enough:rolleyes: many 356's I've encountered that have been stripped for repair have the same or similar issues. Sort of like a 911 but worse. As my body shop owner says; "The things were designed to rust".

PS: Soterik and I have decided that our buying guide will include a warning about purchasing a car that came from the factory WITH a ski rack. :D
Clean "T" here for all the money:

Continues to be a favorite of mine...

Car sold recently (Sept 2012) via auction for over $36k, which I thought was more than all the money. Car was on eBay earlier this month too.
Some attention to the interior (dash, steering wheel, etc) would go a long way to helping the car show better.
