Rick, well, these are actually 11 pages and pretty much elaborate.
They contain how to mix the two-coat metallic painting, repainting (sand surface, neutralizing, using filler), re-aplying color coat, drying times, mixing and applying with Porsche Clear resin and its Hardener. About a 25 point job to do by a professional.

I bought it years ago among others Porsche paper things, when nobody seem to be interested in this - then cheap- paperwork.
Its now much harder to get and much more expensive...I am actually contributing to a new Porsche Literature publication by Charlie White, scheduled by 2014.

BTW, I hope you will get the reply by Sifferts kids, don't know why they dont respond.
Possible memory of the car would be more by Siffert's Ex-wife, hard to tell and contact after all this years, though.

This indeed could be your 1059, below documented in three pics. Just guessing.

1970:
Screen shot of private film/Courtesy Paul Blancpain, taken during the Steve Mc Queen "Le Mans" movie making, its quoted its from 1970.
Plate is FR 100 32 which is a Swiss/Siffert's private plate.
Automatic antenna on right fender. no sunroof.

This is from the french book "917 Porsche, Esquisses d'un succès" de Reynald Hézard.

It says paddock scene during the Le Mans movie making, june 1970. (the filming finished in sept 70.)
917KH "25T" is a spare care (chassis 015) plus a Gulf GT40 spider as used during filming.

Plus three 911 2.2l:
One w rear wiper no sunroof, the other w rear wiper with sunroof. Third w unknown spec re wiper.
All three with automatic antennas and RoW cars, I would say.
The one below with sunroof has a white oval decal on engine lid, most likely country code CH for Switzerland.
It seems to be of lighter color, maybe tangerine, than the two 911's parked to the right.

For filming, Paul Blancpain organised for Siffert's dealership garage the car rental deal of several 911 to Solar Production.
As what I was able to read in other forums, Siffert's personal 911 had always plate FR 100 32, while the 911's used as rental cars for the movie had been on swiss commercial plates, issued to Siffert's dealership garage-

Wow!

Another amazing shot --- that GT40 Spyder looks like one of the camera cars that Solar Productions had converted for making the movie. That would mean this shot was taken sometime in 1970

I'm only about half-way through Michael Keyser's book 'A French Kiss with Death,' but already I know that the movie 'Le Mans' only came out in Jun of '71, w/ film production beginning in Jun the previous year . . .

. . . which means that any 911 on/near that movie set would've had to be a '70-year model or earlier



But now I wonder . . .

I'm looking at the main subject of the picture --- the 917 . . .

In the photograph above, I can't quite make-out the color of the roof on this car --- but I can see the tops of the rear quarters . . . and this looks to be a kurz (short-tailed) car = 917K. Also --- NO vertical tails

Rick, in your post 628 IMHO you are guessing wrong.

That IS a photo from June 1971.
Above pictured 917K was a spare car which did not run the race, indeed in 1970 specs.
While they raced with 1971 spec cars, they kept an 1970 spec at their paddock.

Below other shots of 1971.
As you can see, in 1971 they had both 70 917K spec (to the left, no number) and 71 917LH spec models (17, 19) at their paddock.
In total 3 raced, one was a spare. Judging the change of location of a yellow Dunlop truck at the rear (compare to pic post 624/628 above), these paddock moments date from different days.

Also, this photo posted before by myself, is from a book by Schlegelmilch.
Its the 1971 Paddock scene at Zeltweg, Austria. (therefore not at Le Mans..)
Its around August 15th, 1971 where Siffert won with BRM his last F1 race, one can see the Yardley sponsored BRM F1 Transporters next to the Ferrari's one.

Whatever the green Porsche is or who owned it, for the record Sifferts ex-Milou 1971 2.2S metallic green
was registered in April 1971.
Looking closer, beside sunroof, this car DID had an automatic antenna at his right fender.
One first thinks its a stone, but then its clearly the metallic tip of the antenna.
