Really nice car, but it WAS signal orange. Lots of nit picky things like the shifter, turnsignals, some interior detail are wrong.
Headlight shrouds should be white. It sold a couple of years ago for $20K, wouldn't be surprised to see double that now.
Re the "Finland" equipment, really not sure... maybe gas heater and heated rear glass? Tire chains in the toolkit?
It is my understanding that the 1970 914-6's headlight surrounds were black, the 4 cylinder models were white. The total bottom undercoating bothers me. The signal orange color is a great color in these cars, ie. non-matching COA. It took me several years to find my 6, but with 57k original (and documented) miles, I am very happy with it.

70 6's had white headlight surrounds.
Regarding the 914-6 on e-bay from California classics, the car defenetly as its problem, poor paint quality upon close inspections, tach innoprable, rought at idle if it can stay idling and carburastor defenetly needind rebuilt. You could not even drive the car it would not idle. All i can say is run away from this one. Reserve met i hope the new owners does a PPI before auctions ends.
Hmmm... Are you sure about that? I just checked my '70 -6 and it has black surrounds. Original, AFAIK. I'm pretty sure my previous '70 -6 also had black surrounds.Quote:

Just celebrated the 41st anniversary of ownership of my 1971 914-6 #9141430354 (July 30th). I watched it arrive at the dealership on a car carrier with several other new Porsches directly from the importer (VOA?). My 69 911T was in for service at the time and while waiting I drove a 1970 canary yellow 914-6 and preceded to work out a deal trading my 911T towards the 1971 914-6 on the carrier. The original headilght surrounds were white on my 71 but I changed them to black (kept the originals). Still a wonderful car and a treat to drive :-)
