When I first bought her, 1059 had some rust-through on her driver’s-side outer rocker --- just in front of the jack-spur . . . showed-up during the original PPI. At that time, I made a quick decision + replaced both outers --- w/ Restoration Design panels . . . and moved on. John Esposito did some fettling w/ them, when he re-finished the car, a few months after --- not the panels fault . . . and, since then . . . no issues. To look at 'em . . . no one would know . . .

The only real/obvious ‘tell’ that I can see to distinguish RD’s bit from Porsche’s is when the threshold ‘s removed. Faktory panels have this little ‘window’ stamped into the upper/forward flat of the pressing. John also commented that the RD bits' contours --- at the outer edge/door bottom . . .‘need some work’
Whatever the issue --- John took care of it. And I can’t tell. And like I said . . . no issues
But Faktory is --- Faktory . . .
. . . and so, while I can still get Real Deal Faktory panels . . . etc
So. 20 years from now --- when the next paint job comes up . . . these’ll get cut-in
